When a friend is all you used to have, what do you have left after that? Both Rarity and Applejack contemplate what they've lost in the midst of darkness. Security, family ... and each other.

Love is beautiful, tragic, fun, scary, a drug and rehabilitation, and everything in between. Some crave it, some despise it, some see it as a gift, others a curse. But no matter what, it's always the most powerful thing in the world.

Series of short stories I have floating around in my head. Will add to this from time to time.

So, lets say IF nopony in Equestria celebrates much of a "Thanksgiving", other than the Apples (and their relatives Oranges)... A very special, important, valuable (oh they're all the same thing) day, where the family gathers around to celebrate the history that had them on this very Sweet Apple Acres. Aka, the Apple Fest.

Applejack, after a day of preparing for the feast coming up, goes to have a simple chat with Big Mac. Just turns out to be more than that...

The light has vanquished the dark.
The kingdom is safe.
All the ponies of Equestria are celebrating.
So why is Celestia mourning?

There once was a filly whose eyes were the color of the sun. Sadly ponies bullied her since she was crossed eyed. While running away from some bullies she stumbles on something that may grant her wish.

Twilight thinks Starlight is Starswirl's daughter. Spike thinks she's crazy. Starlight seems hesitant when asked about her father.

Ponies even after her defeat still have a somewhat negative impression of Starlight Glimmer, Glimmer wants to fix this and show them that they can trust her and that she is a whole different pony, and with the help of her new friends maybe she can.
