I am delayed, yes. Work has been basically non-stop since I came off furlough, so I've not had much time to write. I am, however, about half way through the next chapter (about 4k words in so far) and I'm chuffed with how it's going. Expect it sooner rather than later.

My laptop died last week. I had to wait for a Dell engineer to come and basically replace the entire thing - screen and mobo, which had all the important bits soldered onto it, because of course it did. They fucked up twice and I ended up having to re-install the OS even though that wasn't part of the deal. I pray they don't alter it further. I finally got it working last night.

I've made a few edits to Stars Shine Forth overnight. Nothing major and definitely nothing plot-changing, mostly just fixing up weird grammar and a couple typos that even the amazing coandco missed. I also sliced out a big chunk of exposition from chapter 1 that I was never really satisfied with, especially because most of it gets repeated later in the chapter and in chapter 6 to far better effect.

Oh and I've sent it to equestria daily again. Wheee...
