So I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. We're coming up on the fifth anniversary of Apprentice's ending, and a few days later, Worlds' publish date. And even though I've gotten 18 chapters in (not including April Fools specials), the ending still feels a bit distant. Not too distant, it is within sight, but distant all the same.

Remember how Chapter 16 of Apprentice had that one little plot twist that completely shook up everything and sent Nova veering completely off the emotional rails for a bit?

6k words into Chapter 15 out of I'm guessing about 8-9k. Yesterday morning I was 2.5k words into it. And then I watched the RWBY Season 3 Finale.

So I'm working on Chapter 14 of Worlds right now ahead of a Chapter 5 rewrite for Apprentice, and then Chapter 9 of Starbound. Given my current plans, I think I'm shooting for 22 or 23 chapters total. And five of those are Act III. During Apprentice, I had a nice little 2.5 chapter Act III. Well, that gets doubled this time. And, assuming I take Nova's little saga all the way, it won't the most serious. I think it'll probably come in second or third, after a moment or two that're supposed to happen in the one after this, if I make it that far.

Still, after yesterday's cutesy little Apprentice chapter, you get a super-serious Worlds one.

Exactly what the title says. I dunno. Kinda feels like it'd be easier to accomplish, putting out a bunch of shorter chapters instead of a few longer ones.

As of now, this would only apply to Worlds. Those are the only chapters that I feel are so long it's a daunting task just to write them. I wouldn't retool any of the older chapters; in fact, I'd just leave them completely alone.

Sort of. I'm still a little iffy on the ending to the climax, but I've nailed down exactly what all will be happening in what order. For those of you who don't like spoilers, it's dummied out. For those of you who do, I'll give you vague titles so you can see exactly what's going to happen right up until the part I'm still debating (even though I'm 90% certain I know what I'll be doing).
