Fun Fact · 1:34am Dec 6th, 2015

Even though Discord is the main character of Pandelirium, the narrative only shifts to his point of view once during the entire story, and then, only for a single sentence. If you look closely, you'll see that every other instance where the goings-on of Discord's mind are discussed in the narration, I use phrases like "appeared" or "seemed to." As you can probably guess, this was very deliberate on my part.

This was unexpected... · 11:42pm Jul 26th, 2015

I recently checked in on my deviantArt account for the first time in, well... quite a while. I haven't been using it much, mostly because it's basically a place for an online backup of all my other stuff to begin with, so actually maintaining it can get a little tedious at times. Still, while there, I found that someone had left me feedback on The Petriculture Cycle (and not just the stories that I posted as a backup years ago; the whole thing up to Pandelirium). It was somewhat

Patreon + New Story · 6:47pm May 31st, 2015

Okay, I've got two announcements to make of roughly equal importance, so I decided to combine them in one post to keep one from drowning out the other.

WTF? · 10:37pm Oct 9th, 2014

Okay, so I just noticed that the number of views Pandelirium has received apparently spiked while I wasn't looking -- it's now the third most-viewed story in the Petriculture Cycle, despite being the last one. At first I figured that some of my readers decided to skip to the end, but when I looked at the total views for the first chapter (Chapter 10)* was still between 5,000 and 6,000, just where I remembered it being. It was only after going through each chapter that I realized that all

Ugh. · 7:07pm May 10th, 2014

Of all the Saturdays to have obligations to do something during the morning, why'd it have to be this one? I do not handle on-demand television very well. It's always start-and-stop with me: watch thirty seconds, get a flood of ideas, pause to work out ideas, continue thirty more seconds, repeat until end of episode (assuming that I don't get distracted by something else, resulting in never finishing the episode).

Concerning Trixie Lulamoon · 1:54am Dec 28th, 2013

Well, now that that holidays are done, it's time for me to start thinking about what to do next (an easy answer in this case: start planning the next act of Flash Fog, which by sheer coincidence happened to reach the end of a major subplot at the same time I was finishing Pandelirium). That said, there's a lot of interesting background information related to the development of The Petriculture Cycles that never saw the light of day, usually due to me forgetting to write

Prologue; the Future · 3:52am Dec 24th, 2013

Well, the prologue of Pandelirium is all ready to go--all that's left is to hit the "publish" button, which will probably happen some time tomorrow (at the moment, I'm leaning towards "before I leave for work in the morning," or perhaps my morning break once I'm actually at work).

Pandelirium: Chapter 1/Prologue · 3:44am Dec 23rd, 2013

Chapter 1 and the Prologue of Pandelirium are both finished, though I'm going to give my prereaders some more time to look them over. On their advice, I'll be staggering the posting of Chapter 1 and the Prologue over two days, likely starting tomorrow.

I think you'll like what's in store.

Pandelirium: Chapter 1 - Update · 10:39pm Dec 22nd, 2013

One week ago, I started writing the final chapter of Pandelirium (not counting the Prologue, which basically finishes--or rather, begins--Discord's origin story, and has been more or less complete for a while now). Based on how long Chapters 3 and 2 took to write, I fully expected it to take me two or three weeks to finish.

Pandelirium: Chapter 1 · 12:49am Dec 16th, 2013

Work has commenced on the final chapter of Pandelirium, and I'm not going to lie: it's intimidating. I've been thinking about these scenes for more than a year now, and the thought of trying to make the words on my computer screen as effective as the ideas in my head gives me a twisting feeling in my stomach... oh, wait, I recognize this feeling now. It's stage fright. Now that I'm at the very end, I'm legitimately worried that I'll pull a Mass Effect 3 and screw up the finale. Of
