Prologue; the Future · 3:52am Dec 24th, 2013
Well, the prologue of Pandelirium is all ready to go--all that's left is to hit the "publish" button, which will probably happen some time tomorrow (at the moment, I'm leaning towards "before I leave for work in the morning," or perhaps my morning break once I'm actually at work).
That said, I do have a question. A while back, a few folks expressed some interest in writing stories based on the Cycle, but said they wanted to wait until I was done. Well, now that it's done, I'd like to know if that interest is still there. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'll dissolve the group if the writers aren't there, but, well... I'm really excited by the notion that my ideas might be able to take on a life of their own (especially since I don't have to worry about IP issues if I actually read such stories, as would be the case if I had written some original fiction), but as always, I'm worried that my expectations may be unrealistic.
Anyway, if there are still enough people who are interested in writing sequels/side-stories/spinoffs/whatever to warrant it, I may spend a few days writing up some general guidelines to help out those who want to keep the "flavor" or these stories, if that makes any sense.
I might do more with this series after Golden Wings. Or when doing oneshots / shorts. Since it is an awesome series, and I love writing Imaginary Friends. Thanks for a great series, and hopefully someone will be able to do a good follow up to Pandelirium.
I would think that th8re would 8e no IP issues even had this 8een original fiction, since you did s8y that you were opening the AU up to interpret8tion and re-sculpting (o8viously not your exact words, 8ut you get the point). I think you s8d that anyw8y. If th8re are pro8lems I'm unaw8re of, feel free to tell me; I'd 8e interested to know.
