Here are my short four-paragraph afterthoughts on Heat Death for Two. Spoilers, of course.
Here are my short four-paragraph afterthoughts on Heat Death for Two. Spoilers, of course.
Well, A Crazed Gleam is out of the featured box, and it’s clear that I have a lot to talk about. Spoilers follow if you haven’t read the story yet.
Wow. The reception to this fic has been insane. Thank you all for the support. I've been keeping my eyes on the comments and I'm just super happy with the finished product. Happy that you all enjoyed it as much as I had writing it.
Spoilers ahead, obviously, and just know that this is obviously my opinions. Not everyone is going to agree. Also, it's really long, and I did not plan this--I wasted a half hour with oh my god, Missy, why????
For those of you who like to wait until stories are finished before reading them, What Shy Did on Her Summer Vacation is now complete. What follow are my thoughts on it. Spoilers are most definitely present.
brb getting this tattoo'd on my forehead
Some follow-up for you!
The cover is a crop from Francis Bacon's unnerving painting, "Head VI." Love the cube in that picture. Very good angles. Lots of strong vibes.
Because Deviantart randomly decided to nuke them from my Stash. I had them saved in there, now there's only Part 1 left anymore.....
I can't tell when they will come now, as I don't have time to try and remember all of it and then write it down again this week.
And I'm currently too frustrated by it that I lost everything I've written to write it again, so Part 2 and Part 3 are delayed until whenever I am able to do that.
I rewatched this episode today and my mind got caught on one interesting detail:
How Cherry Berry was bringing Rainbow Dash, Granny Smith and the other grandmares to Las Pegasus in her hot-air balloon.
So I just saw the third EQG movie, and now that I don't have to worry about spoilers, I will (hopefully) be back on here more often. I'll post a more detailed review once I've had time to sit down and go through it again, but for now suffice to say I liked it. Was it as good as Rainbow Rocks? No, not really. Was it nearly as bad as the first Equestria Girls? A resounding NOPE. Ultimately, it was fairly solid - not amazing, but at least worth the DVD price. Plus, to be honest, I quite enjoyed

"A Matter of Principals" introduced us to a nice little bit of worldbuilding for Equestria: Arcane Detectors!
After some delay due to a certain rise of depressions, here are now my belated afterthoughts on "Surf and/or Turf":
- Right at the beginning of the episode, I noticed something interesting about Sweetie Belle's reaction over it that they get send to Mount Aris. After she said "Wow, that's almost", she paused for a very short moment and only then continued with "off the table!". And she was flinching slightly during that pause and seemed confused.
A few days after the Season 8 Finale aired, I was sitting down and pondered about it why Cozy Glow did all the things she did and why she wanted to take over Equestria.
I was one of those who did not believe that she is evil and found myself surprised over it that she is a villain. However, even with that turnout, I still don't think that Cozy Glow is actually evil, so I thought about why she did all that and what her exact motives were.
Here are my Afterthoughts for "The Break Up Break Down"! A little bit less than in other weeks, but there are still some interesting observations to be made:
- I already loved the first few moments of the episode, because we finally saw the Crystal Empire again! It's a place we unfortunately get to see rarely, the last time where there was a real focus on it was during Season 6 in "The Times They Are a Changeling"!
So, after my initial review of "Horse Play" and steaming my brain with the thoughts Celestia's Onesversary brought up in me, here are my afterthoughts on it..... Which I had to split into three parts, this episode is an unexpected goldmine of interesting things to dig through!
Here is Part 1 of them:
I rewatched "Molt Down" today to finally do my afterthoughts on the episode, and I discovered an interesting connection to something we've seen in another episode. If you think back to "Princess Spike" in Season 5, you will (if you weren't busy complaining about another Spike episode) probably remember these:
Time for more thoughts on this episode! Like every week, I have done some afterthoughts on it. It's not as much as in other weeks, but I could still discover some interesting things:
