The new chapter of Five Star Service now stands at 8800 words and will likely be over 12,000 before all is said and done--a double-length chapter for the most important chapter of her life. I've finally managed to finish FS/F nearly three years after it originally was published, spent a few days trying to find the damn thing on here, don't know how I managed to get lucky with it.

Anyways, after I found it, I spent a lot of my time re-reading all the previous chapters for a few days. Last night I finally finished it. And I gotta say, I really loved the ending to it. How everything was wrapped up once and for all. I don't really feel the need for a sequel to tie up loose ends.

It really does, and it doesn't help that my job usually leaves me so drained afterwards that I barely have the energy to write. However, I seem to be getting past my writer's block (for the most part). Now it's just a matter of finding the time to write. Hopefully, I can get the next chapter done before New Year's, since that would be good timing for the events of the story.

I have good news and bad news about the next chapter of Greater Lights: Adaptation. The good news is that the chapter is basically done. I just need to revise a couple of conversations between Derren and Nurse Faran. The bad news is that the chapter has somehow exploded into another monster with over 20K words.
