They've started the Hall of the Novice, which I wish I had back when I started, it helps you learn the basics of the game and earn really nice items and gear, and you also get a ring that boosts your EXP gain up to level 30!

There's also a mentor system (heavily criticized, but most mentors do their job to help new players).

To be honest I wish I was a new player now, lots of things to really get you started and the story just keeps you going. I am jealous of you, new adventurer!

Mentors need some form of handicap to prevent them from just going derpface and doing dungeons while on the "mentor" mode for their extra eso and lore.

Fix? They need to receive at least 1 commendation to receive their mentor roulette tome bonus, Or bust with nothing.

Sending out your retainers like crazy will net profit. I have a miner retainer and she gets about 5k-15k per hour. Doesn't sound like much but considering all you have to do is press a button then check up on them later its a lot. I also have a battle retainer who will occasionally get some expensive items.

I don't craft to sell and the amount of gil I have is Buy FFXIV Gil in the millions from just saving up and selling things.

It'd just be a way to make it actually work how you're wanting it to work, much like Astro's cards. If you detonated it early, yes it would be slightly misaligned, but you could just hold it the maximum of 15 seconds it would be misaligned in order to realign it.

Also you can buy it via steam or outside of steam, if you do buy from steam you have to buy expansions through steam and if you buy outside steam you have to buy outside of steam. It's cheaper to get it outside steam since you get better deals, it doesnt matter which you get as they are the same content and game.
You can add the non steam FFXIV into your steam library as an 'add non-steam game' to library list.

Firstly, please please please make this stupid FATE spawn more frequently or just replace the quest that requires it entirely. It'd be fine if the FATE popped up as frequently as the Kobold FATEs but it does not. I've been able to run some of the Kobold FATEs several times in the same amount of time it takes "What a Boar" to spawn once.

1 ability to dye all gear and both primary and secondary colors, addition of bright orange,hot pink and ruby red metallic dyes.

2 consider implementation of glamour book (I realize it was stated they couldn't do that atm but it would be a vastly superior design for glamour then we have now, worth the effort and cost to develop imo. it is extremely passé atm.

This is kind of annoying. Today i was queue up for weepingcity. And i got the pop up atleast 10 times during 30 min of waiting to get in. At the same time i had to get rdy for work in 2 hour so i had time. If people queue for something then COMMENCE IT. I dont give a darn thing that you have to to other stuff. 99% of craft mats up to around level 20 in all crafts can be purchased, quite cheaply, from NPCs. The one exception that immediately springs to mind for me is Aldgoat Skin. If you have retainers unlocked then you can try selling the other items on the MB. If they seem fairly worthless, which many of them are, then vendor them. You don't need those Animal Skins or Animal Hides because you can buy Leather and Hard Leather from an NPC for probably less than the value of the shard it takes to make
