It's official, my household holds one the last remaining Satellite series of Toshiba's computers: considering they'd stopped making them several years ago, I should've been surprised by how fast technology itself has changed; however, this isn't about the future itself but the past thereof. Around last week, my first laptop from August 2012 has stopped working completely: somehow it must have happened after I'd shut it down ironically; despite having a working battery, I can't seem to get it up
Firefight by Brandon Sanderson
Firefight is the second book in the Reckoner’s trilogy. I read the first back in Februrary. Spoilers for it follow.
Another two to four days and I can write the third draft before starting the artwork.
Long time no blog. Been writing a lot, been busy with work. But I've still found time to read. And what better thing to blog about?
I recently finished Mistborn: The Final Empire, the first of Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy. I avoided it for a long time: as a fan of Sanderson's writing, and because of the sheer number of book in the series, I knew it would take up a lot of my time.
While on the plane to BronyCon, I ended up finally getting around to reading my first non-Wheel of Time Brandon Sanderson novel. Elantris was the first novel he wrote, and isn’t part of a series, so I figured I’d start with that.
It may not have been the best choice.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
8/10–a great film with numerous flaws but not enough to ruin it
