It has been a while since I did a set of Read It Now reviews. I actually started this one all the way back in March, and then forgot about finishing it out until this weekend, when I decided to get another review set done and actually read some recent stuff.
Today’s set contains a pair of episode reaction stories, a story with an interesting premise about Celestia and her ability to see the future, a story about Chrysalis sending Cadance a letter, and a story about… well, wingboners.

It started with a bad coffee
We have officially shuffled this shuffle. Enjoy.
This week is a "celebration" of the end of the Skywalker Saga with a cringefest of a crossover. Good fucking luck, y'all.
When I venture to places like antique malls there is often only one thing on my mind: ponies.
Comedy is subjective.
—Someone with no taste.
If you folks know anything about me – and you do, as I have no idea what concepts like “privacy” or “shame” are – you know I like comedy. I keep writing comedy, I keep writing about comedy, and I’ve gone out of my way to make my life a total joke just to be thematically consistent.
With this in mind, and seeing how this website could always do with more good comedies, I’m happy to introduce—
Look at this picture up there. This is why Flurry Heart is the most badass baby that ever existed.
After Chrysalis re-emerged from under the debris of her throne, everyone was getting ready to fight her if she should try anything and Flurry Heart was one of them.
But I'll tell you anyway because I have nothing better to do and I'm wasting my free time!
So I'll be as painfully blunt as I can be.
Basically I'm a good for nothing piece of shit that is spending way too much money on nsfw commissions.
I do nothing but become a simple consumer of Youtube videos and play video games daily, reverting back to that boring person I was before I created stories (if you can even call them that).
Happy holidays! Hope the season is going well for you. I'm working a double shift tomorrow on Hearth's Warming — but I can still celebrate, by giving everyone a present!
Sorry for my relative silence this week – I entered into the last writeoff, then read some more writeoff stories, and spent a lot of time writing stories that I didn’t end up feeling quite happy with, and am going to have to heavily revise.
However, I did finally hit on a revision I did like, so I published another story this week!
In the final week of 2017, I was privileged to watch 2 sci-fi films a day apart. The first was Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and the other was Valerian: City of a Thousand Planets. Both were films I wanted to see. Both were giant sci-fi spectacles with aliens, robots, and crazy space adventures. Right up my alley.
WELP. 2018's done. Let's hear it for the inexorable march of time, folks!
This sounds horrible, but how do I stop caring so much? Everything is just breaking my heart and I'm shutting down and also stress eating. I'm so fucking privileged yet I do jack shit with it and just watch suffering all over the world from the comfort of my unaffected fortress. I hate myself so much.
How do I stop caring?
Hahah wow I sure hope Fimfiction user Bad Horse doesn't mind me sharing this 100% real absolutely unedited unforged super veridic conversation we really had! I would have asked him for permission first, but he's offline, and I might be going to a place with no Internet for a couple weeks.
After finishing writing Mistletrapped, I sat down and read a bunch of recent stories I’d missed reading.

He's a supremely talented author who sadly hasn't gotten much of the recognition he deserves.
He does it all: great action, believable and complex characters, moments of absolute hilarity here and there, actually trying his hardest to make something completely unique and succeeding, etc. I could go on all day. There's a reason his stories are some of my favorites on the site.
Here's some smooth jazz for you. It's a great way to end the day.
