About a year or two ago, I got out of a semi-abusive relationship with a girl that convinced me that she loved me. We got along great, we always hung out and laughed together, and I was happy at last to share my innermost self with someone I cared about.

I am not writing this from a happy place. I'm sure I am not alone in this, but I sometimes feel terrible in the art I make. Not so much my writing as of late, that has been coming out alright. What I mean to say, is despite so many hours, I can't seem to get any progress done on drawing/painting.
New chapter for What They Hope to Find is out! I talk about what's next after the jump, but before that, a quick anecdote:
Last night, my family was having trouble finding something to watch together. My nine-year-old son didn't have any ideas, but he pretty much shot down every suggestion we had. Eventually, out of frustration and half-serious, I say, "Let's just watch ponies."
Husband: I like ponies. Sure.
Two-year-old Baby Girl: Can we watch ponies?
Nine-year-old Son: No!
So I won't be on later tonight. I'm gonna go see a musical with my cousin and some other people. I'll be offline in about an hour.

Before we jump into things I want to apologize for being a lump when it comes to writing. It’s been over a year and a half since I wrote anything and frankly I’m not sure when or if that will change. I still have stories I want to tell but I’m too damn lazy with the down time I have to actually do it. I know, “excuses, excuses” right? I'm safe. I'm not suicidal or anything. This is just a vent blog. I'm trying to help 4 different homeless friends right now in various ways, but
I finally found a job! I am no longer in a poor situation as far as living conditions are concerned, but I lost a friend and owe said former friend quite a bit of money. As long as I can cover additional costs my grandparents are letting me stay here rent free and helping with college expenses. All in all I am not where I want to be, but I am in a good place.
So i already know i will look back on this post and think of how dumb i sounded and maybe it's because i'm currently in the middle of a mental breakdown but i had a thought, what if i wrote about my life?
Truly, my family is cursed.
I said all I needed to about my father in my previous blog. There’s nothing new on that front. And again, I don’t like talking about my problems. But I just don’t care at this point. When you need to kick something, you find a wall to yell at before breaking a toe.
What’s worse is that yesterday was a wonderful time. An extravagant fund raising party set up for my father. Exhausting, but a great time. We all needed it.
I’m uncertain of how to feel about this year. 2018 was the worst year of my life at the time which every following year being part of a downward spiral. And I recall 2021 being so miserable for me towards the end that I rarely left the house without a full flask on my person.

So my plan for WMMH this year was to update at least once a month. That hasn't happened but most of what I planned for this year hasn't exactly happened. While I have at least four chapters written, my beta got sent off to a remote part of Alaska for his work, to work long days with very little internet or free time. So poor Moony is waiting for his return so we can work on edits and get a load of chapters out.
