There’s only so much that can go into a story, especially one with as many characters as 16 has. So I’m opening the floor to asking these characters questions. Post your reply with any questions you have and Plumsweet will be happy to answer them (I’ll be editing this blog to add those questions). I’ll be posting the other characters in the coming weeks (up through Snowcatcher; the rest will come after their chapters are posted).
Interview subject #11: Plumsweet
Here we are, the newest Hearth's Tidbit. This one's subject is actually one of the more important ones since it covers a topic that isn't really looked upon touch in any part of the MLP fandom. That topic is what really qualifies as food for each of these creatures. We know dragon eat gems, ponies enjoy apples and that alicorns seem to adore a good hayburger and cake but what really counts as a good food source for these creatures and many more like them and unlike them. This is the reason for
Everyone is familiar with the ham sandwich:
But in Fall Weather Friends, Pinkie Pie mentions a hot dog eating contest while announcing for the race.
Clearly, that song and dance for the buffalo was just a way of luring them into a false sense of complacency.
lyrics:
"Longcoats are marching
Mud & blood merging
Civil War's raging
Across the land..
In the war for--
--Sunrise has risen
Draped in red ribbons
who gets to eat?
& who becomes?..
Who becomes the meat?
Summer has gone and the
Fires begin burning so
What's yours is mine is now
Food for the beasts
Fight for me
Die as meat
Burn & bleed for our cause
There are times when you realize you’re just wasting your time doing things that don’t matter, not only to anyone else, but also to yourself.
That you can be doing so much more.
I have these realizations constantly. And yet, so often, they are Ignored Epiphanies, and I go on, doing the same thing, even though not even I like it.
Playing a game I don’t enjoy to completion.
Arguing with people on Reddit.
Happy weekend, everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying yourselves.
I’m working on getting back into the swing of things and getting stuff done.

Yeah this one was a matter of time and I've been avoiding it for way too long. I do need a way to communicate with my Patreons in expedient manner, and PMs simply don't cut it.

I wrote a piece of original fiction over the weekend – the first such piece I’ve written since late 2013. I had some fun writing it, and I think I shall be doing more of it and see how it goes.
But don’t think that means I’m giving up on ponies. Original fiction is business. Ponies? Are fun.
Speaking of fun, I reviewed five more stories, including one that really impressed me.

Like the title says.
FanOfMostEverything hosted another contest and since the theme was somewhat relatable to the last one, the story I wrote for it is a sequel to the misadventures of our favorite S.M.I.L.E. agents. This time the contest theme was different versions of the same character meeting, so you can all guess where this is going. If not, the sequel is titled How To Train Your Evil Doppelganger.
