Hi all, I've rejoined this group because (as I said in another thread in another group), against perhaps my better judgement, I'm considering doing another TCB compilation post.

I'd like to have good new (since last time) TCB stories to post. If you can't write above the level of a fifth-grader then don't even bother. Take a read of what's actually posted to EqD and then a long honest look at what you've done. If you're not similar in quality, then make it so.

Krass, I will ask about AAF. I may use it to headline the new post - as in, it may (MAY) get its own post, which will have a link to the compilation, which will also be updated but which will not bump.

NO FUCKING PROMISES, OKAY? OKAY.

Anyway, I'm busy, lazy and apathetic so if you've written something since last time that I haven't explicitly commented on (or even if I have) then you'll probably want to list it here.

Chop chop, I'd like to put it up by the end of the week...

Non-sucky TCB fics... well thats nothing I'v ever written or shall write.

((The Land Downunder, Green Tea, Convict and perhaps Cherry Sandwiches if any of them pass your evil red pen of editing and giving me a grade of D+>))

Well, shameless plugs abound:

The First Year

Price of Admission

What Separates Us

Uncharted Waters

Can't remember if I submitted The First Year to the last compilation post or not.

In order to assist, I would like to nominate some stories that may have been overlooked by many.

Award Winners For 2012:

Renaissance Pony
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/31373/Renaissance-Pony
Why: This well-crafted story explores the need to research magic in order to prepare for the day in which the Bureaus may open. But in this time period, who but Leonardo DaVinci could help? Excellent research, a sense of humor, and early political issues in Equestria are all explored in this unique tale of the ways that Celestia and Luna prepare for the age of the Bureaus.

A Girl's Wish
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/25943/Conversion-Bureau%3A-A-Girl%27s-Wish
Why: The very first Conversion Bureau story told entirely from the viewpoint of a small child, this tale of an obsession with pegasai leads to a happy conclusion in what surely must be an actual booklet from a real Bureau. The unusual story is complimented by a distinct and unique style of prose distinctly reminiscent of children's literature from the fifties and early sixties. Clever, well-written, and with a singular feeling, this work is a fresh take on what a Bureau story can be.

Mankind Triumphant: Relic
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/index.php?view=category&tracking=1&user=1291&order=date_added&page=5
Why: Celestia's head, laying in the 'Treasure Chest' - what does it think about, what can the head of a goddess do to reclaim her world? Is she sane or insane? Is there any way to tell? And what will those still converted from her blood see in their dreams? A chilling and unusual look at the growing Mankind Triumphant! subgenre.

The Conversion Bureau: Reality Restoration
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/25668/The-Conversion-Bureau%3A-Reality-Restoration
Why: A collection of short stories that explores numerous aspects about Conversion and the Bureaus that both disturb and enlighten. Written in a fresh, breezy style, the stories here have subtle flavors to savor.

Shattered Worlds
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/23303/Shattered-Worlds
Why: Set in the growing Mankind Triumphant! subgenre, this unfinished work is an exemplary exploration of that alternate future for the Bureaus, and features powerful characters, emotionally charged moments and even glimmers of hope.

The Conversion Bureau: Grounded
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/18254/The-Conversion-Bureau%3A-Grounded
Why: This story examines the emotional power that Conversion would have on the disabled. Written with passion and attention to the issues involved, it is a topic not often covered by Bureau writers.

The Conversion Bureau: The Recluctant Cyborg
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/20763/The-Conversion-Bureau%3A-The-Reluctant-Cyborg
Why: This brilliant story of a gargantuan war mech reluctantly guarding a Conversion Bureau features intriguing geopolitical complications to the Bureau world, the lengths to which Equestrians will go to make friends, and an eponymous protagonist that is lovably horrific.

The Conversion Bureau: The First Year
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/13206/The-Conversion-Bureau%3A-The-First-Year
Why: The early part of First Contact with Equestria is a sadly neglected part of the Bureau Mythos, this story is perhaps the first real attempt at addressing this lack. Excellent writing compliments this necessary exploration of the first time Equestria meets Earth.

Railroad-Seven-Three
Story Link:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/14476/Railroad-Seven-Three
Why: This depiction of an underground railroad to transport Newfoals to Equestria through dangerous lands excels in both drama and in what is perhaps the first legitimate exploration of the psychology of humans opposed to ponification.

Thanks Chatoyance

The previous compilation post is from February (it's already been that long?) The First Year isn't there but Railroad certainly is.
The compilation post in EQD

and of course I've written something as well:
Tropical Sorrows (btw, you can still be first to comment on this story [it actually had some comments due to the fact I published it on April Fools, but I removed those and now that I've mentioned it Bunnana will probly throw in some random comment])
Melody of Downpour (Mankind Triumphant! *wink-wink*)
and one more which is still in moderation.

EDIT: You can still have the second comment; Krass generously took the first.

In all seriousness, I would like to submit Legacy and The Wacky Wonderful Revolving Door

Am I cool enough to submit? 'cause that'd be cool.

Cant really put my story out there yet, But Option Gamma is a wonderful story and though GG is a bit too shy to ask for himself, i Still think it deserves a bit of recognition. And if you arent adverse to tossing mine in there under the same section, well that would be awesome.
