Title: Combat Training

Author: ArtichokeLust

Genre: Slice of Life, Action

Description:

Every morning, just a few hours after having breakfast, Ace Blade trains. Every evening, just a few hours before bed, she trains again.

Being one of the best guards in Equestria, she's allowed to use the more expensive equipment; she's allowed to wear lightweight armour, carry bladed wings with shock absorbers, and use anti-magic crystals on her enemies. She also gets access to the magical training grounds, and oh man is it great.

By the way, you're free to watch. Just don't get in her way.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?

Two things: first, I spent a whole week with an editor making sure it was fun to read, and second, I feel pretty good about the emotions I added to a lot of the actions.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?

Anyone that likes fighting should like it, or anyone that's practised hard videogames. People that like watching martial arts might enjoy it. Actually, I think anyone that can appreciate training everyday for something should be able to appreciate the story.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?

Wing blades for the win!

Title: Top Speed

Author: BloodBunny67

Genre: Slice of Life, Comedy

Description: Red Line is the rising star of the Fillydelphia Racing Circuit. His dream is to be the fastest Pegasus ever! To bad he lives in a world with a certain rainbow-coloured filly in it...

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
Of all my stories this is the one that most feels like its own episode of the show... Albeit with a little horse-themed profanity and adult beverages.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Anyone doesn't mind a story centered on a trio of OC's with the mane six serving as the background ponies will get a kick out of this.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
This is the first story I ever started writing here on Fimfic. After not having written anything for years, FIM inspired me to once again put some words onto paper. I completed four other short stories before I finally completed this one. Of all my work, I feel like this one best shows my evolution as a writer, and as such I am most proud of it.

Title: Eleven and Counting

Author: BloodBunny67

Genre: Horror, Mystery, Tragedy, Mature, Gore (Descriptive, but with narrative purpose. This is not gore-porn)

Description: The body count is climbing and there are still no leads on the killer. Can Twilight put a stop to it before she loses what she treasures most?

Dear Princess Celestia,

My investigation continues.

There has been another murder...

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
This is my first attempt at a Mystery story. I am most proud at how the story progressed toward the conclusion, but saying more would be spoiling!

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Horror/Mystery fans

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
Thus far the most fun I have had writing a story!

Title: Tik-Tik and the Extremely Brief Infiltration

Author: BloodBunny67

Genre: Comedy

Description: Since his arrival, Tik-Tik had begun to doubt the wisdom of sending such a great and skilled sneak as himself for this mission. Infiltrating the horse-things country had been pathetically easy...

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
Funny?

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Kobolds?

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
This a short shortie, really more of an introduction piece for an ongoing I have planned. It's the first pure comedy I have tried, and it was a blast!

Title:My New Life in Equestria: Helping Has Its Ups and Downs

Author:HAZESHIFT

Genre:HIE comedy adventure

Description:Dan wakes up to something he thought couldn't possibly happen. He's in Equestria. He doesn't know how long he is going to be here for or if there may be some greater purpose for him. All he does know is that he woke up in a tree and fell out of said tree and that even in Equestria it still hurts...oh and the ponies are still adorable. Who knows? maybe this will turn into a bigger adventure with romance and comedy and stuff...as long as he doesn't do anything too stupid first.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?: It's my first fully completed fic. The first one i ever submitted to here. I've worked long and hard on it. IT was a tough road and i know that it does need polish, but for what it is at the moment i am proud of my accomplishment with it in terms of story and comedy

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? people who liek a nice laugh, enjoy kinda nostalgic references,, music lovers, people who like seeing blueblood being...blueblood, people who like seeing Blueblood getting punished for being Blueblood
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? Still needs a bit of polish and sanding on the corners but holds together mostly

Title: To Drown A Butterfly
Author: Matthew DePointe
Genre: Dark, Noir, Suspense
Description: An unforgettable story of loss and redemption as our anti-hero Mr. Ponetti tries to get rich quick. In a city with four million stories, this is only one of them.
Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of? I feel like my writing may be a bit different from other writers. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but I like to think it is special.
Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? I think it will appeal to anyone who likes noir stories.
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? Not really. I hope you give it a read and give me some feedback. I'd appreciate it.

Title: Legionnaire, Death of Innocence
Author: Lord Inquisitor
Genre: Steampunk Thriller with undertones of romance.
Description: The second in the series, Death of Innocence is a story about Twilight on a mission to secure peace between Equestria and the Khanate. It's a desperate, last ditch effort to avoid a catastrophic war. In Death of Innocence, Twilight must negotiate a peace with a suspiciously amiable ruler. Whilst this is happening, Rainbow Dash must find out the truth behind who is trying to kill Princess Twilight. All the while, an ancient evil lurking in the shadows starts to interfere with Princess Luna's rearmament programme...
Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of? The amount of historical allegories in any given chapter took some real work.
Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? People into history, politics and gunplay. There's also, hopefully going to be a bit more interesting stuff going on in this story than the last.
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? Read it and enjoy it.

4025865

Name: Arcane Shadow (Re-Written) (no link; mature)

Author: Dragonborne Fox

Genre: AU, Crossover, Dark, Adventure.

Synopsis/Description:

Two worlds that are alike in many ways, yet drastically different in other aspects, are separated by a barrier which no force can hope to breach. When that barrier falls, and an ancient, dark legend which foretells the end times is brought to light, a band of adventurers set out to stop the encroaching apocalypse before it comes to pass. However, they have no way of knowing how much time they have, how fast the clock is ticking, nor what forces are moving to oppose them. And should they fail, a fated tragedy will strike, plunging all into its darkest hour.

Why do you feel it should be in the group? I consider this my magnum opus; in comparison with many of my earlier works (particularly the original story it's re-written whilst being standalone from, hence the title), it's a glittering diamond. By no means is it perfect, but I am still polishing it at a steady rate.

Name two things you like about this story: As I've already mentioned, it's a step-up from my previous fanfics, outshining them by a long shot. I also like how well it flows thus far, but there are still some kinks that I will fix when they are pointed out to me or when I spot them after a routine check-up.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? Currently unfinished, but is 25 chapters in so far.

Let's try this again, in the proper thread this time.

Memoirs of a Magic Earth PonyTitle:

Author: The Lunar Samurai

Genre: Slice of Life but set in a Dark Alternate Universe

Description: My name is Starswirl and I am an earth pony. This is a collection of stories about my life. As I reflect on the events that have brought me to this home by the sea, I can only hope for one thing; that my life be viewed as ordinary and plain, but my work in theoretical magic be held the highest regard. I placed so much effort into my studies in theoretical magic that it would be a shame to let my work be lost somewhere in the sands of time.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
Memoirs of a Magic Earth Pony is, by far, my best work to date. I think I've finally captured the essence of characterization and gotten a chance to see a story truly come to life because of that. The way Starswirl deals with his own problems, how he reacts to every event in his life, it changes him, it makes him into who he will become. It's the only story I will actively reread because I genuinely find it entertaining. I'm extremely pleased with how this story is turning out.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Well, the first 40,000 thousand words address the issues many college age students face. But beyond that, it's a story about a character who is actually quite repayable and authentic. Starswirl has this... lust about him, one that really pushes his life in a constant direction to do more. He never gives up. That's not to say that he doesn't have is fair share of mishaps. Life is especially cruel to earth ponies in his time, but he never wants to accept defeat, despite how loud the world may shout at him.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
Other than what I've already mentioned, I really think this is a story worth sharing. I'm putting a lot of work into making both the character and his surroundings believable, stressful, and relatable. I'm fine with most of my other stories dwindling behind, but I feel like this one deserves a chance. I feel like it has true potential.

Title: Shanghai'd!

Author: Sorcerer

I've developed countless characters, sub-plots, and cultures! If you want immersion, this is your fanfic!

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Cool people, fans of anime like One Piece and Fairy Tail, pretty much anyone who likes action and adventure!

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
Just to give you an idea on how long this story is, there will be seven arcs, and I've been doing this for 10 months. I post every 3-6 days, and I'm only in arc two... so yeah. :twilightsheepish:

Title: Procrastination
Author: gameon123321
Genre: Comedy, Random
Description: Lyra wants to enter a writing contest. It sounds like a simple endeavour, but writing is harder than it sounds...
Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of? No. But I think that it's a simple fic, and doesn't need to be the next best thing since sliced bread. Just being a good story is great in my eyes.
Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? People who write, and would enjoy a comical perspective on (not) writing.
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? Nothing in particular.

Title: An Orphan's Lament
Author: Vertigo-01
Genre: Sad, Slice of Life
Description: Apple Bloom's visits to her parents grave have always been a bit confusing for the filly. So she decides to bring along a friend who might be able to help shed some light on her feelings – or lack thereof.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of? It's the first time I've ever formally adhered to the rules of third-person omniscient narration.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? Those who wonder what Apple Bloom thinks about her parents' passing, and those looking for one-on-one Apple Bloom / Scootaloo interaction.

IMN

Title: Quest for Earth Pony Magic: the Disciple

Author: IMN

Genre: Adventur-Comedy

Description: When refugees came to Equestria fleeing war, Princess Celestia accepted them with open hooves. Ten years later, their youngest made the castle a little too much his own home; but Sun Light's leisure is about to be challenged rather unexpectidly.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
The story line in this one is the most solid of all my stories.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
If people like witty characters, foals, and earth pony magic, then this story is for you.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
Enjoy?

Title: Apotheosis
Author: TLATopHat (Me!)
Genre: AU / Sci Fi
Description: Starring a new cast of characters in a world where magic, technology, and even spirits all coexist, follow the young mare Eos as she stumbles into a world that is nothing like the one she remembers.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
The world. I have literally spent over a year developing the world this fic is set in, and it's probably my most ambitious undertaking to date.
Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Fans of Science Fantasy settings and original worlds for ponies to play in.
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
For simplicity's sake, the ponies are Anthro ponies, as it is more efficient to give them hands with which to manipulate the world, rather than trying to constantly hand wave or work around the limitations of mouth-and-hooves as a means of interaction.

Title: Equestrian Alliance: Project Oblivion (I have linked to my author page, not the title as this is a Mature work.)
Author: Jack Hammer https://www.fimfiction.net/user/Jack+Hammer
Genre: Sci-Fi/Human
Description: Lock and load. It's about to get primeval in here.
This is a full-length science fiction novel.
A research accident on a remote island unleashes an unstoppable ancient enemy that hungers for destruction. Can the sudden appearance of an unexpected ally shatter the hands on the clock of doom?

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of? I wanted a plausible method for humans and ponies to come together. I've worked hard to create a compelling, fast-paced novel that uses as much logic as possible to create maximum excitement with minimal suspension of disbelief.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? Fans of action, science fiction in general, adventure, and horror stories should get a kick out of this.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? I was absolutely determined to have a story that shows some of my favorite characters in a way that is true to their canon personalities. This was a major focus of my year-long adventure in writing this.

Title: Untouchable
Author: Magenta Shadow
Genre: [Human] [Adventure] [Romance]
Description:
During a fact finding mission Lyra Heartstrings accidentally brings a human into Equestria but this human soon finds out that he has a curse cast upon him.
Is there a cure or will he die as he lived? Untouchable.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
This is the longest story I have written so far and it's only barely reaching the end of the first arc which will also be the shortest arc of this long fic.
Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Anyone who likes a decent story about Humans in Equestria who have actual personalities and aren't just crazy OP superheroes.
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
I'm not sure if it's actually any good because it's not getting as many views as some of my other stories even though its 12 times as long as most of my fics.

Title: The Forest Pony
Author: EverfreePony
Genre: Adventure, Alternate Universe, Comedy

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of? I believe this is the first story here that considers the Forest creatures more than just pure beasts...
Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to? To anybody who likes nature and general science, as well as slight worldbuilding with explanations. Also, mordant humour welcome!
Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story? The AU tag is here because it's kind of old story and is no longer canon-kosher.

4025865
Title: A Pop Star, a Princess, and a Prisoner

Author: Raptormon132

Genre: Dark, Drama, Romance, Slice of Life, Tragedy

Description:
A once well respected resident of Ponyville, who had been sent to prison for a crime he did not commit, has been released. But being as almost all of the townsfolk still believe he did it, and have angered-driven hatred towards him, helping this poor stallion to get back into society may be more difficult than the Main 6 had thought, even with the help of the very detective from Fillydelphia who cleared his name. Now all hope relies on Sapphire Shores, The Pony of Pop who makes a stop to Ponyville to visit a certain sick filly, and Princess Luna, the princess of the night who has watched this stallion's suffering for sometime to help fix everything. Will the pop star and princess save this poor prisoner? Read to find out in this drama like story.

Rated MA 15+
Contains: Adult themes, some violence, some graphic scenes and description of prison abuse, torture, and rape that may disturb or upset some people.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
It's the longest story I've ever done. It took me a long time to write it, and I was working on it round the clock. I put a lot of heart and soul in that story, and it's the story I'm the most proud of. And it's became arguably my most successful story, with a bit of a cult following it.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
Those who love drama, romance, tragedy, darkness, and stories of loss and hope. Autistic people, since the character put in prison is autistic. And those who have, or at least know someone who has experienced wrongful conviction in their lives.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
It's a story about trust, loyalty, friendship, love, and hope. And a story that has a powerful message. A message about those, like the character in the story, who are thrown in prison for crimes they didn't commit, suffer greatly for it.

Title: Tales of a Pokemon Master

Author: CommanderX5 ( or just X for short )

Genre: Adventure, Crossover, HiE ( I was considering on adding dark or comedy tag as well, but I felt that dark or pure comedy scenes are too far in between to use those tags as well, I may be wrong though ).

Description:

Mysterious creatures are being summoned to Equestria and forced to serve powerful villains as they capture more and more ponies. Treated as a nuisance at first, they are now led by a dangerous group of criminals that have formed into a legion. With the destructive forces of water, fire, electricity and so much more at their disposal, Equestria is slowly falling into chaos.

Unsure on how to defeat this growing threat, and wishing to learn more about the invaders, Twilight -with Discord's assistance- summons help of her own. The most experienced being, with plenty of knowledge to share and a few of these creatures at her own disposal: a Pokemon Master.

Have all the trials and battles she has faced prepared her for this new adventure? Will experience and her trusted team of elite pokemon be enough to stop the brainwashed army and defeat the evil summoners?

Only time will tell.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of: Astra and Nica ( Pokemon Master and her Raichu partner OC's I made ). I put a lot of heart into those two characters, though thus far I could only show them in prologue since they won't arrive in Equestria until chapter 2.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?: Either pokemon fans (mostly those who stick around to Sun and the Moon game) and those who like adorable interactions. Though those will become more numberous once characters from Pokemon world will arrive in Equestira, which will happen in chapter 2.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?: I put a lot of heart into characters Astra and Nica and their interaction with main 6 and Starlight (Though those will take place in chapter 2 and 3 which aren't edited yet), and I really hope to give them chance to shine. However, due to crossovers and HiE not being popular combo, attention to my story and feedback is greatly lacking, and since I needed to introduce the conflict and world-building in prologue and chapter 1, I couldn't find space to let main characters from pokemon world arrive in Equestria yet.

I hope that this story will get at least some attention or that I will get at least a little bit feedback telling me what's wrong and need improving in the story, despite it being a crossover. Not having any comments, opinions and suggestions leave me in the dark.

Not sure if this group is still active, but worth a shot!

Years after her parents' tragedy, Apple Bloom can't help but wonder the fate of her parents. Being the youngest, she feels left out from the rest of her family and seeks to unravel the mystery of her parents...

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
I'm proud in that this is my first story that I have ever written for a public audience and is my first story on FimFiction. I have written short stories before, however they were mainly for school; I never published any of my stories for others to read and enjoy. I'm hoping that this story will serve as a stepping stone for me here on FimFic, as I plan on writing more stories in the not-too-distant future :)

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?

Everyone  Especially those who are a fan of the recent MLP episode: The Perfect Pear since this story seeks to build off that episode.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
Still incomplete, however I will be finishing the last chapter and epilogue before the end of the month (July).

Title: A Shattered Crystal (rated Mature)
Author: C'est moi
Genre: [Dark] [Drama] [Tragedy] [Alternate Universe]
Description:

The Crystal Empire had rejected Daybreaker's Ultimatum, an Ultimatum that demanded their subjugation. Daybreaker, in her quest for Harmony, demanded that all of Ponykind would eventually have to submit to her direct rule if Harmony was to be ensured for all Ponies, even outside of Equestria.

Cadence defied her valiantly, and knew the Solar Empire's response would be war. There was little hope to win against such a powerful Empire alone, but Cadence rallied her Ponies, unwilling to surrender their freedom to a Dictator.

When the war came, and the Ponies dropped dead in the Trenches and in the Snowy fields of the Crystal Empire, Daybreaker began to re-evaluate her Options. A quicker end to the Problem was required. But she couldn't do it all on her own.

As the Empress and her faithful Student gather, one final Meeting awaits. A Meeting of old friends.

Is there anything on the story you are particularly proud of?
I feel really fullfilled and happy to have finally managed to depict a Villain that is truly multi-dimensional. I wanted to depict Daybreaker not as a evil megalomaniac but as a radicalised form of Celestia, who still holds those same values of her at heart: Harmony and safeguarding her little ponies. According to a lot of feedback I've gotten, I managed to pull that off really well, and it really does put a smile on my face.

Who do you feel this story is likely to appeal to?
For one there are, of course, those people that enjoy reading anything that has even remotely to do with war. The Story (and its two Prequels) are set in a Universe where the Changelings wage a total war on Equestria. That said, my main focus wasn't on the actual war and the battles, but on Celestia and Twilight. As such, fans who enjoy tragic and dramatic stories, especially those with a dark tone, will come to enjoy this one the most, I think.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about the story?
I'd like to use this opportunity to clarify that this Story is the third iteration of a Trilogy. I would personally recommend reading the two Prequels to fully understand what happens in this one, but it's not entirely necessary. The reason why I'm advertising this story and not the first one is because I feel that this one really does crown the Trilogy and I feel the most fullfilled after writing this one (though this obviously does not imply the other two are bad).

Additionally, the Story takes place in an Alternate Universe in which war rages and Ponies have access to World War 2-levels of technology (i.e. Aircraft, Tanks, Rifles, etc.). If you have any interest in learning about the Alternate Universe of 'Equestria at War' at all, I left a link to the official Fimfiction Group in the Story's description.
