When a human clone from the Grand Canyon Province is transported to the Equestrian Wasteland, he finds that his surroundings are not all that's unfamiliar.
Looks like we've fleshed out another character. Rosewing, who I'm ashamed to think was a Pegasus, seems like a fairly normal gunslinger girl. Hard life, good "family" with the crew, keeps her eye on outsiders, and always willing to use force. She does seen to have buried self doubt, or something else, something I can't figure out, which is quite rare, mind you. I'm intrigued by this mercenary griffon. I hope to see more of her. (Kinda reminds me of a cross Cass and Veronica from New Vegas)
I'll admit to not having played the other game of this crossover, the one the human is from. I guess that's why I haven't taken much of an interest in him, I don't know what his daily life is like or who he really is. (I also skipped over the intro. Nothing too interesting happened and I had no context) Why does he have a collar, and a hole in the neck to boot? It's like finding an old world scientist in a shell of a factory, to use Fallout terms. You don't know who he is, you only know he is human, and has a dangerous arua. Well, to the reader at least. The ponies only know he's dangerous. :)
Based on this recounting, Razor-Quill sounds like the no-nonsense leader any successful group must have. Won't be too hard to learn and/or grow attached to him I hope. I also hope that we don't have TOO many griffons. I've read that the character rule of thumb is 7, but that's for TV shows where they can miss a few episodes with no problem. I'd cap off your party at 5 or so. Eventually I'll lose track of who is who!
I still remember Finders Keepers, despite not seeing her for two chapters. She's easily the most compelling character so far. I've never met a scavenger quite like her, one who has a heart but will take money over values most of the time. Her little internal struggles are especially good, because you can see she's a good pony who wants to do things right. But this is Fallout, so decent is often the best you can hope for. I'm surprised at how believable she is. She's kind, but vicious (if need be). Caring, but careful. Smart, but can be terrified. Be proud of yourself for crating this amazing little pony.
Keep going! I've hit on a few of my own ideas, but not gotten any real work done. You've GOTTA tell me how you focus sometime! Until then, see you!
4299841 Heh, thank you very much for your heartfelt response! As for your beefs (well, not really that) about the human character, there are some things I'm holding back, and don't intend to completely explain him in the first chapter. As to why he wears a collar, you may want to reread the prologue, as that gives some explanation.
Found this buried in my 'To Read Later' list, which is currently at 86 .
Don't really have anything to say on the chapter to be honest, not much happened. Will say that I can't tell where this is going so whatever happens next should be a surprise. Hopefully nothing bad, the Griffins don't strike me as the bastard types.
5206263 Don't worry, I promise you'll get an update within the next month or two. I wish I was in an environment that was conducive to writing, but alas I am not. To make the wait more bearable (or less), this chapter will have a lot of action in it.
Nother great chapter!
MOAR!!!
Hey it's updated, wooooooooooooooooooooooo!
And new guess, it's the pendant that is acting like a universal translator that he can speak with her.

4538993 Heh, yeah, not a lot did happen. More will happen in the next chapter, to be sure.

Joking aside, can't help but to be afraid of seeing such a good story fading away.
