When she was in middle school, Sunset Shimmer suffered from what is called 'Middle-second syndrome'.
It is a term used to describe young teens who have grandiose delusions, and in some cases, have convinces themselves that they have secret powers.
She used to call herself 'The God Princess of Flames', an immortal being capable of manipulate fire, alienating herself from her classmates.
Finding her past embarrassing, Sunset will try everything to start her high school journey quietly after moving out from her city.
But not everything went as planned when she meets Twilight Sparkle, a girl in her class suffering from the very same syndrome, who calls herself 'The God Princess of Night'.
Sunset will do everything in her power to avoid being around that girl, but she will find it to be a difficult task since this girl literally lives next door.

For almost a thousand years, the immortal Nightmare Moon has reigned over Equestria as Empress. But to Twilight Sparkle, who as an orphan has never known her parents, the Empress is something else entirely. When the young unicorn is brought under the royal wing as an apprentice, she learns a great deal more about the supposed tyrant than she ever knew. But as Twilight is introduced to life with her new mentor, she is thrust into a world of political intrigue, conspiracies and secrets. Secrets that were never meant to be revealed. As allies and enemies plot against the very peace of the nation, will Twilight fall prey to the perils of her new position? Or will she prosper and find in Nightmare Moon the mother she never had?

It had been an accidental falling-in that had brought them together. Sort of together. Velvet's divorce, Sunset's break-up... it was an awkward thing to know that failure of a relationship had helped them bond. Remaining in the only city they'd ever been able to call home, perhaps it was inevitable that their sorrow should not be endured alone.

But now comes their first Christmas. And tonight's date night is more intimate than before. All it would take is a single moment for the sparks to truly fly.

What she finds is all that she expected and more. A creature of darkness that offers favors for blood. But first it wants to know how Twilight found it, and why.

In the process, Twilight learns a valuable lesson. It's frightening enough to know that supernatural creatures actually exist, but what is truly terrifying is when those creatures know you exist. And one of them takes an interest in you.

Sunset Shimmer, twice savior of Canterlot High who earned her wings by using the combined magic of the Earth elements of harmony to save the world from Twilight Sparkle (you know... the one with the glasses). She's offered to help Twilight's (you know.. the alicorn Princess of Friendship) new student learn about friendship while the whole crew embarks on a trip to the Crystal Empire. This should be a fairly relaxing and stress free trip. Right? RIGHT?!

After Sunset Shimmer cleansed the human world of Phyrexia’s influence, she finds herself faced with a new reality: a world where every living human has access to their magical powers. But though the plane of Anthropia has long been known to be deeply entwined with Equestria, even those who have traveled between both worlds do not truly understand the nature of the connection.

When the human Twilight discovers the fossilized remains of an alicorn, her Equestrian counterpart is sent down a path that will unravel a secret hidden for two-hundred millennia. As an unexplained phenomenon causes Equestria’s mana to slowly fade, Twilight discovers not only the forgotten history of both worlds, but the machinations of an elder dragon intent on destroying everything she holds dear.

While traveling through the magic mirror between worlds, Sunset Shimmer touched upon the realm of Chaos, her course diverted. Rescued by unknown forces, Sunset awoke on a world besieged by daemonic incursions. While running from a daemon, Sunset comes across a dying member of the Order of the Cerulean Chalice, an Ordo Minorus of the Adepta Sororitas. Entrusted with a holy relic, Sunset is given the choice of taking it to the other members of the order, or dying on the doomed planet.

Suspicions surround Sunset on reaching the order, many questioning her nature and whether or not she was sent by their God-Emperor. Some loath her, seeing her as a xenos at worst, or a tainted mutant experiment of the planet's deceased lord at best. Others believe her sent by a Saint, or claim she is merely some form of abhuman. But none of them fully trust Sunset.

To prove herself, Sunset is placed among the scholla within the convent, all while coping with the loss of her magic, and in a new body. There she'll make friends and rivals, and either prove her worth to the Emperor, or die.

Burn the Heretic. Kill the Mutant. Purge the Unclean.

After entering the mirror portal and enrolling in Canterlot High School, Sunset Shimmer is on the perfect track to have Equestria on its knees in two years time. However, she was beaten to the punch; an army is building ranks right in front of CHS, and they see a fresh world to conquer all around them. Finding herself at the last stand between defeating the Changelings or allowing a second invasion, she is forced to decide what type of person she wants to be, and what future she truly deserves.

Unfortunately, there is little time left for either.
