Twilight Sparkle's years of study in the magic of friendship have finally culminated in her becoming an alicorn. Amidst the litany of changes that she is having to contend with in her life as a result of this, she comes to notice something alarming: no matter how hard she tries to limit herself, she is putting on weight at an alarming rate. It might have been an inevitability—considering how many ponies consider it in vogue to be overweight, she almost certainly would have followed suit sooner or later—but she remains uncertain of what it is that she truly wants. In her mind, she continues to be a mere scholar, not somepony worthy of the adoration that comes from so much bulk.

Luna realizes that her sister has become something of both an idol and a symbol of Equestria since she was -ahem- on forced leave. In fact, Celestia has, perhaps, become the biggest figure in Equestrian history. The moon princess decides that she's going to use her skills in the artsy fartsy to make sure her sister remains the 'biggest' for decades to come by submitting her latest piece to the Professionals' Equestrian Art Contest.

Her protégé, Twilight Sparkle has taken over the mantle as prime ruler from her and is now taking control of the land. And with this swap in major power, Celestia has finally been given the chance to enjoy herself and see the world. One thing that she has always wanted to do was try out the different foods from around the world, but with her struggle of constantly maintaining a slim figure for the public had kept her from that dream. But with her having brought a personal mansion just beyond the limits of Fillydelphia, she now has the opportunity to experience what she has missed out on in Equestrian cuisine. And with this opportunity, she may discover something about herself that she never knew before.

Celestia has never been one to complain about her duties as a Princess, but every now and then, she does enjoy a bit of pampering. Although Canterlot is renowned for its upscale amenities, the spa run by Aloe and Lotus in Ponyville is her favorite spot for a clandestine, indulgent retreat. When she arrives to find that her reservation has been accidentally booked at a new spa annex, she agrees to try it out. Even if it isn’t one that usually caters to ponies. What harm could come from trying something new?
