After her coronation, a drunken Hearts and Hooves Day promise comes back to bite Twilight in the flank. Sandwiched between Pinkie Pie and Rarity to ensure she doesn't try to escape, Twilight is forced on the next train to Canterlot. When she arrives, it takes a bit more than mere liquid courage to elicit her confession.

Rainbow Dash is the world's greatest flyer. Not only because she practices and trains so much she could wear out the Wonderbolts, but also because she has turned flying into her own personal therapy.

However, some feelings don't just go away on their own.

Some feelings, you can't outfly.

Twilight has never been interested in romance, at least not for herself. But a rather flustered epiphany changes that and now she must try and work out what it is, exactly, that she feels for her athletic friend, Rainbow Dash. A friend she's convinced would never like her back in the same way.

It's going to take a bit of courage to measure the degree of her affections and to test the waters... but perhaps it'll be worth it.

Rainbow Dash has a crush.

A huge one.

On a mare with beautiful purple eyes.

On a mare with a nice, pointy horn, and a wonderful set of wings.

On a mare that can somehow rock what had to be the most boring of haircuts known to ponykind, making it look like the leading act of a fashion show.

So, with all that in mind, what was there for a big, athletic, inexperienced, and frankly, totally awesome pegasus to do?

Well, to be honest, there is only one real solution. Acquire a book, get a reservation to a fancy restaurant, some tickets to las Pegasus, bribe Starlight, hire Scootaloo with a radio as a spy, and see which things work.

Pinkie likes Twilight, but Twilight does not like Pinkie in that way. That does not stop Pinkie, of course, and that puts Twilight in an interesting situation. What can she do to fix the problem? Or is there even a problem that needs to be fixed?

When Twilight sees Pinkie Pie standing alone one night in the midst of a terrible storm, she decides to let her stay for the next couple of days. Little does she know how much her life will change in the nights to come.

Every choice we make denies ten thousand possibilities.
