One morning, Octavia gets a visit from her cousin Fiddle Faddle that she hasn't seen in years. While Fiddle is there to rekindle a family relation that seemed to be estranged, Octavia has her qualms about it.

Being the Princess of Love has grown tiresome for Princess Cadance. She used to enjoy helping bring two ponies together, but lately, ponies have just expected her to help. She feels used and abused - her job seems more of a burden than talent.

After a final unwarranted incident (and one too many drinks), Cadance decides to ship at will... Her will, that is.

Her efforts came to a halt when a mare she remembered as Trixie walked through the doors, stepping tentatively up to the counter. With a red face, she requests to be shown the most beautiful necklace to buy for the most beautiful mare. Naturally, Lavender is inclined to help.

This is the story of how the Bridleway Limited, one of Equestria's most famous trains of all time, came to grief between Horse Junction and Winsome Peak, and how a tragic accident changed the lives of two young musicians and a nine-year-old railway enthusiast.

This fanfiction is based on Ealing Studios' Train of Events and the Hawes Junction accident of Christmas Eve 1910, and is also dedicated to the memories of the 227 people who lost their lives in the cataclysmic Quintinshill rail disaster of May 22nd, 1915.

It was about ten years ago today, I still remember it like it was yesterday. She was new in town, and hardly anypony knew anything about her. But, there was something about her that attracted me to her. I couldn't put my hoof on it, it certainly wasn't the way she looked, or the way she seemed to have a "no bucks given" look about her. But, I just knew she had to be... the one.

Starlight spends a day in her old town, and her new friends plan a prank to break the ice. What better than something to laugh about to bring everyone closer together! Some pranks are funny, gentle, and become fond memories one day.

This is not one of those pranks.
