Hearth's Warming. A time for family, parties, shopping...and stress, especially for those ponies who are shopkeeps, department store workers...and bakers. And nopony is better at hiding her stress behind a bright smile and a bubbly attitude than the town's resident Party Pony. But one shy, yellow pegasus isn't so easily fooled.

And this year, she plans to do something about it.

Have you ever had someone you loved with your life? Friends? Family? Have you ever had them ripped away from you? It's the most painful thing that can ever happen. Believe me.

[FlutterPie fluff oneshot] Taking place in the Ask Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie universe, the two ponies are kept awake by an intense thunderstorm. Fluttershy is terrified, but Pinkie Pie helps her through it, in the end bringing their emotional commitment even higher than before and uncovering a new layer of the power of friendship. This story was partially inspired by my own difficulties with astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning). Special thanks to SpeccySY for letting me use his tumblr's universe. The title is taken from a line in the song "Let Love Bleed Red" by Sleeping with Sirens.

While on an errand in the woods, Pinkie Pie becomes seriously injured, much to Fluttershy's horror.

Alone and terrified, Fluttershy must now overcome her fear and bring Ponyville's premier party planner back in one piece.

The stakes only get higher when she learns that Pinkie has fallen for her.

The inevitable effect of time has hit Ponyville full-force, and with it the trials and tribulations of having to let friends go. Slowly the Mane 6 have drifted away from one another, focused solely on their ever-ascending careers, until only Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy remain. The experiance of letting go again and again has hardened Pinkie's emotions, but when they both meet on a quiet river and bring up the subject, will Fluttershy be able to keep her composure?

Most ponies hate rain. It drives you inside and covers up the sun; what's to like? Fluttershy, however, sees it as an opportunity. Rainstorms give her the chance to withdraw and to think, not burdened by social obligations or pressures. Yet for all it's virtues, rain tend to leave you wet and cold, and if Pinkie can teach Fluttershy anything, it's how to warm up a bit.

Fluttershy gets home one day to find Pinkie in a full-on breakdown. Or at least, that's how things look, but Pinkie is as cheery and bubbly as ever. She seems content with her new look, but Fluttershy is determined to make sure Pinkie is okay.

Pinkie wakes up sick one morning, which is just about the worst thing she can think of!

But Fluttershy will be there to make things better. Things are always better with Fluttershy around.
