There might have been a lot more frantic running away involved.

But whatever the case, it was definitely not Sunset's fault.

Sunset Shimmer is having the worst day of her life. She used to be important. She was the personal student of Princess Celestia. She was a future leader of Equestria. She was the kind of mare that everypony envied.

Today, it's all crashing down around her.

Twilight is elated to find out that Pinkie Pie writes poetry in her spare time. When asked for a demonstration, Pinkie happily shows off the brief couplet she was planning on submitting to the Ponyville Tribune. As Twilight expected, her prose is bouncy, playful, and most of all, catchy.

The only problem? It's a little too catchy.

Inspired by/ based on/ ripped off of "Punch, Brothers, Punch," a short story by Mark Twain.

During an attempt to escape from her lunar prison, Nightmare Moon unwittingly pulls something into her dimension that doesn't belong. In doing so, she sows the seeds of her own defeat. Now Luna must deal with the consequences of her other persona's actions.

An Ender's Game crossover exploring common themes of regret and redemption, this story takes place parallel to Seasons 1 and 2. Knowledge of the book is NOT required.

Twilight galloped through the doors to her tower and leaped onto her favorite reading pillow on the balcony. She opened the book to the table of contents.

Oh my gosh! They’re all so interesting! Ooh, an age spell! That…might be a bit beyond me. But here right below it – a duplication spell!

Discord has a problem. He has a tendency to not think through his actions all that well, poor impulse control, and no ability to figure out how others will feel about what he does. Even with a friend helping him, sooner or later he's going to do something that'll get him stoned or hit with a reforming spell or whatnot. So what's he to do? One night not long before Nightmare Night, Princess Celestia figured out exactly how to bridge the two worlds together for Twilight: a reading assignment on one of the very first science fiction books ever written, entitled simply Frankenstein.

It was the perfect plan.

Twilight looked over to her dear mentor, Princess Celestia, and found she had once again fallen asleep mid-lesson. Her intense debate on awakening the princess was cut short when the decision was taken out of her hooves.

“Huh? Oh. Twilight, I am so sorry for falling asleep again. I think we need to reschedule this for tomorrow morning.”

Twilight nodded. After all, Princess Celestia was obviously overworked. If only there was something she could do to help.
