Hold her hoof as she braves whatever life throws at her while buskering on the streets of Manehatten. Cry with her as she faces old fears and overcomes new ones. Cheer and revel in her marriage and success. Laugh wholeheartedly at her comedic small mistakes and happenstances.

Most importantly however, understand the rocky and twisted road that shaped the DJ we have all come to know and love.

Vinyl Scratch was always an odd one, seemingly hating classical music yet always willing to go with Lyra and Bonbon with a little convincing. One evening they see Octavia perform, and the songs are more than familiar to Vinyl. Realizing that Octavia is playing songs that Vinyl herself had composed when she was younger. Over time and through many trials with her new friends, Octavia discovers that there's a little more to Vinyl than she initially thought.

Hey, everyone. OtterMatt here. Just for the record, I’m not coming back to FimFic. Not ever. I’m sorry to say it, but my life has moved on, as it were, and writing just isn’t a part of it anymore. That being said, I love these stories of mine very much. There’s a lot of myself that I put into them, and at least a couple people have told me that these stories meant a lot to them as well. It's anything but a traditional story when Vinyl Scratch meets Octavia and falls in love with the colt-loving grey mare. Vinyl can't explain it, but there is something about Octavia that has sucked her into love's arms. But with Vinyl's jealous ex in the picture, she can barely find time to think straight. Can Vinyl find the will to fight through an overbearing ex and somehow win Octavia's heart? Or will it all crash and burn around her?

Octavia isn't the type of mare to mix up with suspicious crowds. She stays away from ponies who are different from herself, never giving them second thought, never considering the fact that they might be friendly.
But what happens if Octavia doesn't have a choice? What if she needs one of these uncouth ponies she so despises, and avoids at all costs? And mostly, what will her family say if she goes as far as to fall in love with one?
