When something from Fluttershy's past comes back to haunt her, she ends up running away, and it's up to the others to figure out what happened. Will Rainbow open up about what she knows? Will Fluttershy solve her problems? Will Twilight succumb to the temptations of dark magic?

First "book" of The Saga of The Beast.

To those of you wondering who the "bad guys" or "good guys" are, there are none. When I write, I try to make sure everyone is doing the right thing (in their own eyes, at least), because there are no people who think of themselves as evil, except in hindsight. That's one of the things I try to reflect in my stories, so please, don't say "But I thought they were supposed to be evil", because they aren't. Not even the main antagonist is evil in this, and she even gets highlighted as a good person many times.
Just remember, evil is never a state of mind, but a difference of opinion.

Luna has been locked away in the moon for fifty years. The only company she has is the darkness that swirls around in her mind: the Nightmare.
When Luna begins to loose any hope of escaping, the Nightmare Moon leads her to an alternate Equestria, where darkness and the evil rule. Once there, Nightmare Moon tells her to search for the Nightmares: eight immortal beings who rule over this odd new world. With their help, she can fully embrace the power of nightmares and bring down her sister once and for all. But Nightmare Moon has some different plans...
Meanwhile, an alternate Discord begins his plan to escape, but when he learns of Luna's posession, he will do everything in his power to stop her from succeeding.
However, after Luna trains with a few of the Nightmares, she becomes something neither Discord or Nightmare Moon managed to foresee. Something all creatures fear... Human.

After the defeat of the Chrysalis, Celestia wonders if things could be different between the races of Changeling and Pony. Perhaps the Changelings could be taught to live in harmony with ponies, and Changelings could finally have a land to call their home.

But what if it's too late? What if there are no Changelings left?

What if they had all been sent to their deaths?

Really quick short inspired by the song of the same name from the musical Wicked. No knowledge of the musical is necessary to understand this fic, it's just a regular ol' pony universe fic.
And wouldn't you know it, the story has 2003 words, the same year Wicked came out! (Don't trust the word count on-site, it doesn't know what's up. Trust me.)

Oh, and, whoever says descriptions are easy to write is a downright liar.

Cancer is a horrible illness. Fluttershy knows it all too well. After long weeks of chemo and medication, her doctor brings some bad news. Fluttershy's terminal. She takes her last few hours to say goodbye to her friends and write her will.
