A shared connection saw them brought together. By accident, by no intention of their own, but lives crossed paths all the same.

It took so long for them to even say hello. Continuous conversation grew slowly, and a real relationship required sorrow as soil. Growth came as time went by.
But now it's good- perhaps even better than good; a little sweetness within each word.
Maybe, if given a little nudge, it could be something new.

Grand Pear is trying to mend his relationship with the Apples. They're nice enough, but It just feels like it's too little too late, and he wonders if maybe he'd be better off at his house in Vanhoover instead.

After being married to Bon Bon for several years Lyra is finding the daily grind of life is getting her down, she loves her wife and daughter but isn't there more for her out there? Not even the Hearth's Warming Spirit seems to be helping. But are things really as bad as they seem?

Velvet's divorce, Sunset's break-up... it was an awkward thing to know that failure of a relationship had helped them bond. Remaining in the only city they'd ever been able to call home, perhaps it was inevitable that their sorrow should not be endured alone.

But now comes their first Christmas. And tonight's date night is more intimate than before. All it would take is a single moment for the sparks to truly fly.

She's seen dozens of graduating classes go beyond her realm. Graduate and pass off into adulthood, move from her aged classroom and to bigger and better things than what high school could offer them. If their life peaked here, it was not because of her; it was always best to encourage more than a teenage life. But watching so many settle for so little grated Cheerilee to her core.

She'd studied for years to tend to others. Her medicinal skills were perhaps not as fine as the greatest surgeon's, but she knew human anatomy. To heal wounds, to comfort terrified souls, to dispense medical knowledge that would benefit those about her; Redheart was as capable a comfort as she was a clinic, and nothing this school could bring her had managed to best her yet. But to deal with the excess of teenage stupidity and bravado when so many seemed intent on wounding themselves was despairing.

It was tired to watch the world go by, growing older alongside you. Maybe they just needed a breather, and a whispering ear.

For the Ponyville Ciderfest 2023 Storyteller theme, attendees found code words hidden around the convention. These codes gave them access to short stories with multiple choice endings that decided which faction (Hero, Villain, Chaos) would gain one of the scattered pages from the Book of All Stories.

My entry in the Ponyville Ciderfest 2023 anthology book, "Scattered Pages: Tales from the Book of All Stories."

An all-powerful book of destiny, the Book of All Stories, has had its pages scattered throughout time and space. Containing all the stories of ponydom (past, present, and future), whoever has a page of the book can rewrite history and reality at will. One of these pages has sent Zipp Storm back to the time when Princess Twilight still reigned. If she's ever to get home again, she needs to recover that page with the aid of Rainbow Dash and Smolder. If not, whoever comes across the page can alter reality as they please, to potentially disastrous results.
