Things learned from cartoons · 12:15pm Sep 26th, 2022
This is just for fun and my curiosity :-)
Does anyone remember things they learned from cartoons or a message that sticks with you that came from a cartoon? I'm saying cartoons because I'm thinking about what I watched when I was little (80's & 90's), but this can be anything animated (animated movies, Anime, etc.)
A couple that I remember learning from years ago:
1. "Cut away from yourself, not towards." - from "The Last Unicorn", during a scene where Molly and Prince Lir are cutting potatoes (I think it was potatoes). Good information to know when using sharp knives. It was just a comment during the scene and was a natural part of it, not a forced lesson...but it stuck with me.
2. Lift with your knees, not your back. This was one of the "message/lesson" parts at the end of an episode from the 90's remake of He-Man that wasn't as popular as the original 80's He-Man. I don't remember much else from that show, but this is something that stuck with me from it.
Static Shock, when facing an enemy made of rubber: "Enough of an electrical charge will overload any resistor."
