Hi there! Have you heard of something called the Summer Sin Celebration?

According to the hostage note put in front of me, I'm taking part, and it's therefore my solemn obligation to inform you that about this amazing and awesome event. What is it exactly, I hear you ask? I don't actually hear you ask that, because this is all written out before you have a chance to react, and writing is one-way communication, but I'm hoping you've asked.

The Summer Sin Celebration is, quite simply, a writing event in which participants offer a short prompt of a story they want to be written, and in turn agree to write a story based on the prompt they receive. The prompts of each participant are put into a hat (an electronic hat? A digital hat? I dunno, I'm an author, not a tech-guy), shuffled, and handed out at random. All the participants write something that fits that prompt with the intention of entertaining the person who gave the prompt, and after a month, the stories are exchanged. It's a neat and wholesome community event. Well, it's entirely based around clop, so not that wholesome I guess, but at least the thought's there...hm? Oh, I'm not meant to say that? Okay. I'll retract it, you can put the baseball bat down.

I've partaken in the last one, and it was genuinely fun to do. I wouldn't have written this cool piece without Summer Sin, because I never would've considered writing those characters, nevermind the storyline, the setup, the way it turned out, etc. It gave me inspiration and motivation to do something new, and I'm personally very proud of it. In addition, the person who requested it was pleased too, so I got a nice warm and fuzzy feeling for doing something nice for someone else. In life, this is what we call a "win-win" situation. In addition, I was able to summon a beautiful story that suited my own tastes into the world, because I'm an absolute slut for Gallstream and being able to have someone write it for me without even having to pay is - let's be honest - too good to be true.
