So, I've been mulling this over for a while now.

Early in the Sunset Rising timeline, the human-born version of Sunset Shimmer changes her name to Sunrise Shimmer.

When categorizing the stories that feature her (and not the pony-born Sunset), I have been clicking the OC tag.

If I were to go back and click her stories as featuring Sunset Shimmer instead, do you guys think that would clarify things or add to the confusion?

Given how Sunrise is very much her own person with her own experiences, I think you're justified in calling her an OC.

Technically she is an OC, while the Sunset Shimmer tag implies the canonical pony-born Sunset Shimmer. So I'd say keep using the OC tag.
