Tell Your Tale

Finally got around to watching these shorts last night, and I have to say, I enjoyed them. Still not completely sold on the animation style, but I thought they were pretty fun. Zipp is definitely my favorite G5 pony, if she wasn’t already before. She had so many great expressions! Also that conflict between what you want and what your parents want for you that you can’t really delve into so it just kinda simmers there under the surface, very relatable!

Um... I mean...

Pipp bodyslamming her suitcase was pretty great, too. Honestly, I’m liking her more than I thought I would (but then again, I ended up liking Rarity more than I thought I would, so there’s that ).

Izzy would definitely be a rough roommate, and I’m kinda glad that was acknowledged. I like how they’re all different sizes and she’s a larger pony. If it were humanized, I feel like she’d both be blissfully unaware but also keenly cognizant of that fact.

Kinda hope the fruit delivery pony comes back. Maybe a running joke, like “My cabbages!” but with more fruit smashed on Hitch’s oddly-shaped face.

Ok, yeah, I’m still stuck on the animation style . But I think I like where this is going.
