An Update on the Book and Batty · 9:28pm Jan 11th, 2022
So, the original fiction is finished an in the process of being preread and editted (P.S. I may be interested in more prereaders). That was done around New Years as planned. What I'm focussing on now while waiting for that to happen is the side anthology to She Drives Me Batty I mentioned wanting to do last time. It's gonna be for one shots done outside Night's PoV that happen parallel or within She Drives Me Batty. I have the cover art, but the only one shot I have done for it right now is a bit of drama for the Mercy arc, so I'm waiting to publish it until I have three one shots--one dramatic, two not so much.
Basically, I don't wanna overload folks on drama with how the school arc is playing out, and I thought about it and realized that the extra dramatic part to the Mercy arc is something her parents might well hide from Night to avoid stressing her further, so I just wrote a bit of it from Tempered's point of view to scratch the itch of wanting to get to it, since I've actually been hinting at it for a bit in story. It works like that so far, I think, and so I can avoid making the Mercy arc too dramatic for Night by sprinkling in some one shots in the anthology here and there that parallel the sequel.
