New Midnight Rising chapter off to prereaders...

At long last. This is the redo of the chapter I was forced to scrap in April and then about 80% rewrite. I saved a few select bits and pieces from the original version, but the rest went by the wayside.

Still pecking away on Midnight Rising and Feathered Hearts...

The two Lemon Zest chapters of Midnight Rising have now reached 26,600 words and they’re still nowhere near done, with probably another 5-6k words to go. Gotta treat the girl right, after all, and also make sure there’s plenty of sexy side dishes around her. And as for Feathered Hearts?

    Still working on Midnight Rising...

At the rate of about 800-1000 words a day. That’s my key to getting stuff done that’s causing you issues; just be sure you put at least a little time in on it this day to have some forward momentum. The two chapters are now up to 24,100 words. I’ll work on it more this weekend, at least around continuing work around the maps and battle graphics I’m making for Feathered Hearts.

Did two things this past weekend...

First, I ran 10k for the first time in two months after laying off that long to let my ankle bursitis subside, trying to allow the area to generally heal up. It appears that it worked. To my delight, there was no ankle pain after and I hadn’t even lost much stamina thanks to hitting an elliptical machine twice a week for an hour instead of jogging. My upper legs are another matter, though.

C&C chapter 40 entering prereads tonight + teaser

Much as I didn’t want to, I made the decision to break it up since the full length of the War Council meeting had exceeded 20,000 words and will probably approach 25k for the now-two chapters before all is said and done. The breakpoint itself will be between learning about the general war situation both Aricia and the Griffon Kingdom face, and then discussing what in all the Crows they’re going

New Eros chapter in prereads · 12:22am Dec 24th, 2021

Target release date is Xmas day for the currently-6k word chapter. Be advised that this is heavily gay human/griffon action, though there’s certainly teasers for other types of action thrown in. No preview possible because there’s no part of this chapter that’s not M-rated. This is probably as close as I get to actual ‘drumfire’ clop, folks.

So enjoy Marco’s seduction by Giraldi along with your Christmas gifts and turkey Or whatever it is you eat—in my family, Xmas dinner is always roast leg of lamb.

And needless to say... Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🤶

PS: Oh, and good news—I texted my manager, and it turns out he is recovering nicely from COVID. That is a load off my mind, needless to say. I invited him to have lunch again on me, this time to celebrate getting over it and having natural immunity—the only kind that matters. Unfortunately, it’ll have to wait. They told us to work from home again for the next month, to little surprise as Omicron consumes the country.

I'm glad your manager is going to survive the coof.

We should all be thankful for omicron, to be honest. It's both highly contagious and milder than Vanilla Coof. We'll all have immune resistance in no time!

You said it. This could actually be a blessing in disguise--the final wave of COVID that grants true herd immunity at far less risk to those who catch it--which is probably going to be just about everyone who hasn’t gotten it already. This could actually be the final significant wave. After this, it’ll still be with us, but the unfamiliarity of it to our immune systems will be gone, and then it’ll just become another seasonal annoyance like a cold or flu.

So Marco is filling Giraldi like a X-Mas Turkey? Nice. :trollestia:

Actually, it’s the other way around. :raritywink:

So the turkey is stuffing the human for X-Mas... What a twist :twistnerd:

Good to hear that you can work from home again. Merry Christmas and all that
