The Israel/Gaza Situation Has Me Broken

Ignore if you hate this topic. I avoid social media, and I'd rather rant here than the hellhole that is Twitter :rainbowlaugh:

    Already on Step 4

Check this out if you have zero clue what I'm talking about haha.

Did bodyweight squats in front of my physical therapist, and they were good!! Super smooth, great range of motion, and zero tightness for the first few sets. This puts me on step 4 out of 5.

Plan to Cross the Finish Line

Gameplan my physical therapist and I made to overcome my joint issues once and for all. I'd say I'm 90% there, so here is the plan for the last 10%. Primary remaining issue is the left hip weakness causing me to shift much of my weight onto the right hip, which also causes my entire trunk/upper body to twist to compensate for the lean. This messes up my shoulder blade movement as well, leading to

Can Almost See the Light at the End of the Tunnel

After almost a full decade of pain affecting my waking hours, sleep, ability to exercise, and ability to just have fun, I'm almost done!!!!

I define me being done as: Being able to exercise, sleep, stand, sit, lie down, and walk with no pain, instability, or unevenness. It's hard to put a number on a goal like this, but I'd say I'm 85% there.

    Almost Done Beating Genetics

Ughhhhhh why can't I be 100% done, though :raritydespair:

Alright, so despite basically every joint having issues at first, I can minimize the major starting issues to:
    - Right hip tear + instability
    - Left hip tear + instability
    - Left shoulder instability
    - Right shoulder instability

The two bolded ones were the biggest issues. As of now, I have:

Awesome News!!! · 11:15pm Dec 15th, 2021

So I have the green light from my physical therapist to do all bilateral movements again! Squats, deadlifts, benching with a bar, sprinting laterally, etc.

I am now fully even and not twisted to one side when moving. I still have some back tightness, but it's related to my hip capsules still being tight due to scar tissue post-surgery. My PT and I have a plan of attack for that, however. And once that tightness is dealt with, it's time to return to MMA!!! :rainbowdetermined2:

THAT SAID.... I'm still gonna train at home, because I'll feel embarrassed going to the gym and not already being able to Front Squat 315lbs for reps, Squat 405lbs for reps, Power Clean 275lbs, etc. Yes, I know my standards are stupid :rainbowlaugh:

Which is why it's time to buy more weight plates and work up to 230lbs lunges (115lbs dumbbells) on each leg and 305lbs stiff leg deadlifts (155lbs dumbbells) at home for reps :pinkiecrazy:

Thanks, dude!

And no names unless you stay consistent :trollestia:

Huk

You're a big fan of that song:

Aren't ya :rainbowdetermined2:?

Dude, you would laugh your ass off if you knew what type of music I like working out to :rainbowlaugh:

I meant it more in the sense of what the song is about, not necessarily this particular piece :raritywink:. Judging by your blogs, you sure seem to follow the same philosophy that song represents

Dude, you would laugh your ass off if you knew what type of music I like working out to :rainbowlaugh:

Um... that wouldn't be something starting with:

'My little pony, My little pony... ah ah ah ah!'

:trollestia:?

Gotcha haha.

'My little pony, My little pony... ah ah ah ah!'

Nope. It's somehow even more embarrassing :rainbowlaugh:

I see nothing embarrassing here. I mean, not my vibes, but they sure are ... catchy :ajsmug:

I listen to a pretty varied 'collection' of stuff myself, including piano, rock, metal, but also video game music and... MLP songs:

MLP1
MLP2

The first playlist is pretty much what got me interested in MLP in the first place. I'm pretty sure some people would find these songs 'emberassing' but fuck them! The only thing that matters is whether it works for you; how others feel about it is irrelevant.

Hell, we're to dudes chatting on MLP forum after all :rainbowlaugh: haters be damned :rainbowdetermined2:
