New Year's Break. · 9:17pm Nov 17th, 2021
So, for those who don't know, I've been working on a piece of original fiction in addition to Batty for the past year. It's generally been me swapping chapters between the two to avoid burnout, but I really want to finish the draft of my original piece before the year is out. I'm almost there. I'm determined to buckle down, and it'll give me time to hopefully commission a massive and utterly expensive piece of art involving Night. I have... not quite the next chapter of Batty, but a side-story of sorts? It's an important part of Just a Little Batty that I've hinted at a bunch, but it's... not something Night's parents would want her worrying about.
And that led to the idea of having an anthology of one shots from other perspectives that runs sorta parallel to She Drives Me Batty. I already have several ideas for it and am drafting up plans (it's why I want the art btw. generic cover art won't do.) but between planning that, getting the art, and finishing the draft before new years like I want? Actually publishing on fimfic needs to take a back seat until January. Story isn't dead. I just need to push the original work a little more to get it in a place I can take the next step with it.
