...Huh

So I was hanging out in a discord today with a couple of friends (namely Eltirions, The Great Scribbly One, and Big Saij) talking about our stories and just chilling. Eltirions had a story hit the Featured page today, and while congratulating him I mentioned I thought I would be happy just to be in the popular page for a day. To my utter surprise, I was told that Rules for Bodyguards had been featured, and a quick search in the Featured Bookshelf (which a thing apparently) confirmed it. I was blown away, because I had never seen it there and hadn't received any sort of notice that it had been featured at all.

To understand why this is a big deal to me, you need to understand that I'm a latecomer to the fandom. Most of the stories I discovered in those early days were because they were featured. I was turned on to a number of my favorite authors (like Skywriter and SockPuppet) through Featured. To stand among them, however briefly... it means a lot to me. So I want to say thank you, to all of you who've read and liked and followed Rules for Bodyguards. I hope that it continues to improve. Even if it never hits Featured again, it's a special moment for me. I just wish I had seen it for myself.
