An explanation · 2:23pm Oct 11th, 2021
This blog post is here because I've written something I'm aware might confuse people, and I want to clarify just in case people go in expecting one thing and finding another. To give everyone the TL;DR of this blog: I've written an SCP inspired clopfic, it isn't a crossover in a direct sense, it's not gory or in any way really horror related, it's a collab, and you should read it as a clop parody that can be taken as seriously or not as you want. Now, onto the more detailed information.
"Drop, what is this fic you've just published?"
It's an SCP inspired clopfic. If you don't know what SCP is, imagine Men In Black meets Lovecraft. That's the high and low of it. I've written something that is reminiscent of an SCP file, with the same or similar terminology, and written in a way that's meant to replicate the style of SCP files. The setting is G4 MLP, rather than earth, and the focus is sex, as you might expect from me.
"Does that mean it's a humans in Equestria story, or ponies on earth story, or a grimdark version of Equestria?"
No. It's a clopfic, first and foremost, as with all of my published pieces. There's no death or gore, or horrifying fates. It's as bad as the show's own treatment of its characters, for the most part. No one dies or suffers in any way more explicit than what's been shown on screen.
"What inspired you to publish this?"
I'm a pervert and I'm a fan of SCP. I hope some of you are too.
"SCP is a huge community collaborative work that captivated the minds of thousands. Are you going to achieve that?"
Oh, absolutely not. It'll still be a community collab, though, and anyone can contribute; if you have an idea, type it up, message me with a way to access your writing, and I'll try and add your piece to the fic. There are some standards, naturally, but I'm not going to scoff at you if your writing isn't Shakespeare's level of wit and skill or whatever. Worst I can say is no. I'm also aware this might flop entirely, and everyone could cringe, laugh at my dumb idea, and go about their day, leaving it to whither after just a few chapters. Such is life. Hopefully not, and people jump on board with this, but I'm not gambling my ego on this achieving even a positive like/dislike ratio, nevermind a feature.
"I'm one of the few people who don't think your idea is cringe, can I contribute?"
Yes, hypothetical and optimistically receptive friend, you can. Whether you're a veteran SCP writer or someone who just learned what the term creepypasta means, I'll accept all submissions, and try my best to fit them in as entries. Don't worry too much about editing or making it fit the fic's style of writing exactly; as long as I can tell what you're trying to do or say, I'll make sure it's structured appropriately before I publish it, and you'll receive full credit for the chapter. There are only a few rules I'd like for any of your submissions:
- Must follow site rules
- Must feasibly fit within G4 canon, excluding the existence of NSFW elements the show doesn't contain (i.e. any glaring differences must be explained, as do how they're not noticed by the inhabitants of the world)
- Must not include any of the following fetishes; scat, farting, watersports, severe injury or death, gore, or hardcore rape
I hope you enjoy the oddity my mind has conjured, and I hope some of you are entertained enough to want to partake. A huge thanks to Horndog who took a chunk of time out of his life to be my first contributing partner in this strange journey, and had at least some faith this wasn't a totally lost cause. Go check out his stories, if they're your cup of tea, and remember to stay safe and well, be happy, and have a good day, wherever you are.
So i can say someone is eaten alive but i can't describe it in detail.
