Who here liked the story "Xenophilia"? · 4:29am Dec 6th, 2012
Since you'll probably see more ideas I have borrowed from Xenophilia in chapters, allow me a moment to explain:
I love Xenophilia. When I read it, my thoughts were "What if it was on Earth?" And "What if it was with Fluttershy?". The next morning I started work on BSAP.
So it's fair to expect similarities between the 2, especially in the ideas and concepts. Except, clearly less clop, because whatever garbage I would write in that genre would get zero views, I'm positive of it. But, She's a Pony takes some elements of the pony culture identified in Xenophilia and I add some of my ideas to it, and then you get whatever happens here.
I really could go on for days about how awesome Xenophilia is, but it would get boring and I have things to study for. Thanks for reading!
P.S. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go read Xenophilia (If you're okay with clop. It has a lot of that). Actually, on second thought, don't. Because every story (including mine) will pale in comparison to that one. This is where I would give you a link, but I'm really lazy tonight, so go search Xenophilia up in that fancy shmancy search box at the top of the page if interested!
I loved xenophilia... It had such a good plot, and so many interesting ideas that, like they said, most people don't ever think about.
Twas a good story, A+ in my books. (Also, it may have had clop, but it wasn't 100% clop. therefore: it's good )
Both the original story and the side stories it spawned--with the exception of that Quantum Leap abomination--are among my favorites.
What more can I say that goldensrbiter hasen't I was loving all the ideas and concepts the story eas putting out I was pretty surprise when it said it was complete and a little sad. But now there are 2sequals and Im happy again
In fact, I have read Xenophilia and quite enjoyed it. It's not a clop story, though the clop is very well written. It is instead a story which goes into details on what a female dominated society run by ponies would be like to a human who gets flung into that world. A world where what we think as normal is not. To anyone who hasn't read it go do it now.
Story Here
The social worldbuilding of that story (and archonix's follow-up) is pretty much unparalleled, at least as far as what I've read in this fandom. You're setting quite a high bar for yourself, emulating that even partially.
Is Xenophilia that one TwiDash story?
579260 I can't possibly hope to live up to the awesomeness in that fiction, still it's entertaining to put my own story out there using some of those amazing ideas.
579302 Nope.
579310
Good, good...
Have I mentioned I hate lespony Dash stories with a passion?
I remember reading the first chapter of Xenophilia as an image post back on Ponibooru. I had no idea it was continued until someone linked to it from tumblr. I blew through all the new chapters about a week before the finale and am currently tracking all 3 side stories.
It had
avery good plot. But really, the plotline and the character writing and writing style was just so
When it was over I was like ;-;
But She's a Pony has partial foundation from Xenophilia?! Sweet.
Xenophilia was great, good to see your taking some social queues from it.
It is interesting, but I like the premise of your story better because the two societies can actually interact as a whole instead of as a single individual.
579310 so is bsap canceled? 579229 what quantum leap abomination?
Xenophilia was a masterpiece of fanfiction!
Xenophilia was brilliant, aside from the martial arts weirdness that it seemed to go off on a couple of times.
I say that any connections to it can only be a good thing.
>"What if it was on Earth?" And "What if it was with Fluttershy?"
Do you ever into grammar, bro?
579302 Technically , Yes.
582493 Almost never. Cool cats like me have editors to grammars for them
