Pharynx backed away from the crowd of ponies, mare and stallion alike. He stammered, trying to give them all the hardest death glare he could. He stumbled as his back hoof slipped on the back of his silver dress. The rainbow hem flashed as he fell to the ground, and the ponies crowded around him.
"Please...I-I can just..." Pharynx transformed into a female changeling, almost identical to him, the only difference being a gossamer mane instead of antlers.
"Get out of here, you're disgusting!"
"Get away from us! Everyone, hide your kids!"
Pharynx transformed back and found his hooves, before charging through the crowd and running out.
Eventually, he made it back to the Hive, and raced into his bedroom. Pharynx tore off his dress and tossed it onto the floor, falling onto his bed and covering his head with a pillow. Thorax poked his head into the room, then walked in with Ocellus, Apex, Griff, and Metamorphosis.
"Pharynx...?" Thorax asked.
"Leave me alone...just a freak..."
"Hey, don't you dare say that about yourself, half-pint!" Griff climbed onto the bed beside him.
"Don't listen to those jerks, Pharynx. You know we love you... mostly..."
"Ocellus..." Metamorphosis rubbed his son's back. "Your sister's right... it doesn't matter what those ponies say, all they're proving is that they're heartless monsters, and you're not."
"E-Exactly!"
"I...you promise?"
They all nodded, and Apex climbed onto Pharynx's head. "Don' be sad Uncle Pharynx! I love you an' Papa Thorax loves you an' Celly an' Gran'pa Mety an' Gran'pa Griff..."
Pharynx smiled slightly, tilting his head forwards to let the nymph fall into his hooves. "Thanks grub..."
"Oh sure, the nymph convinces you..." Ocellus muttered, flopping down beside Pharynx with a smile.
"Aww, family hug!"
"Thorax, no-!"
The group all grabbed Pharynx into a hug, and he groaned loudly. However, after a sigh, he smiled and hugged them back, sinking into their embrace.
"We all love you, half-pint."
Pharynx blushed and smiled softly. "I love you guys too..."
