Update 5/25/21

Hey all,

It’s been a bit, so I figured I’d make a quick post about progress on my current stories and direct some traffic to a friend of mine.

First off, my friend crazydiamond just released his first story here on FimFic. I did a little bit of proofreading for him on it and it just went live yesterday in the massive wave of new stories. If you all could pop on over and give it a read right here, that would be awesome!

A month ago I said I‘d have a story out and, as we can all see, that didn’t quite happen. Gingerbread House of Cards ended up getting stuck in rewrite hell and nothing I did was fixing it. I took some time away from it (ended up getting a bit hooked on Football Manager 21, oops) and upon coming back with a fresh mindset the first draft is finally near completion. So much so I have gotten it to the point where I feel comfortable dedicating full sessions to editing. I aim to have both Chapters 1 and 2 edited and ready to go before I start pushing the story onto the site. Ideally, Chapter 1 will be submitted within the next two weeks, but it'll depend on how much work on Chapter 2 needs to be done first.

Last on the docket, and probably the one most of you originally followed me for, is the sequel to Multidimensional Body Displacement. Admittedly, it’s not high on my priority list but I do have a rough outline for what I want to do with it. I know what questions I want to answer and what questions would drive a sequel forward. That said I don’t have the flow of the story figured out or even how long it would end up being. The big thing I want to sort out is if I want it to be a more standard multi-chapter story or loosely connected one-shots instead. My current idea fits a narrative-driven multi-chapter story better, but I’m worried a bit of the original fun and spirit I had with the original story will be lost if I go that route. If I ran with the series of one-shots instead, I’m concerned I don’t have enough unique one-shots at the ready to make that work.

TLDR on Multidimensional Body Displacement 2: it’s a bunch of knotted-up spaghetti ideas right now.
