I write too much too little for no reason. Now I'm off to hyperfixate on detailing that bush.

It's been three whole years since I started writing! Woohoo! All that time wasted thinking about ponies! :pinkiehappy:

    Jinx, where ya been?

Hiya! How's tricks? Are you doing well?

Sorry I've not been around or writing much for, like, a month. I put out a side story a 'lil while ago, but it's honestly not my best work. You can go read it if you haven't, but I can do better—and I should've done better. It's just that writing has been... a tenuous activity for me for awhile now.

A freaky dream, and the continuation of The Stereotypical Necromancer!

So, I'm guessing there's one of those two things you're probably more interested in, yeah?

Well, too bad! I'm talking about the dream I had last night, first! :rainbowwild:

Hey hey people who have a tangential interest to me and my story!

So the small subset of people who care may have noticed that the next chapter isn't out yet.

That's because of... stuff!

I'm taking some time to flesh out some ideas for later parts of the story, stuff like plotlines and maybe an actual ending somewhere. I've been flying this entire time by the seat of my pants, so I at least want the barest skeleton of a plan to follow.

Also, I'm just sorta taking a minute away from writing stuff. My frantic pace may have slowed down from when I started, but a chapter every three or four days is still decently prolific. It'll probably be good for my writing if I recharge, so to speak.

Also x2, I'm just plain having some difficulties with inspiration for this chapter. Drawing out my storyline is relatively easy, but actual writing seems to have escaped me yet again. It should be fine though. Every time I've had problems, I've been able to overcome them and come back with writing even better than before. I genuinely enjoy my recent work more than what I used to write, and I actually find myself reading some of it when I have a bit of free time. It's a great feeling, having something to be proud of.

Maybe my niche is writing endless chapters of characters avoiding opening a box? :rainbowhuh:

It's been about a week since I put the last chapter up, which, while not being my longest hiatus, is still longer than I usually take. ew punctuation I just wanted to put this out there for anyone that might've been concerned. Is that presumptuous of me? Does that make me an asshole for assuming that? Probably.

I actually have no idea when the next chapter will come up, but don't worry, I haven't abandoned anything! Unless you're reading this in four years and the latest chapter is 26. In that case, I will either give up or die soon! :pinkiecrazy:

WHAT THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS, YOUR A WRITING SLAVE, GIVE ME THE NEXT CHAPTER :flutterrage:

seriously though take your time there no rush or deadline just create at your own pase, your giving us your story for free, so no rush, take your time, writing opening a box takes a lot of time to get right

It really does. Nobody really understands the complex and emotional process behind opening a box.

It should be spread out, handled delicately. If the box is opened too fast, it renders the entire experience meaningless. It's sort of like eating an entire meal at once. The anticipation is most of the enjoyment. The moment should be slow, savored. If you cannot look back and precisely recall each and every second spent opening a box, then you have failed. Every part should be committed to memory.

The contents, while important, aren't the real prize. It's all about the box. On holidays and birthdays, it's one thing to open your presents and receive your gifts; but it's an entirely different experience to witness the unparalleled sight of a beautifully decorated box with its mystique and charm in equal measures.

You know the saying, 'it's about the journey'? I'm almost 100% certain that was talking about boxes.

This was supposed to be far more sarcastic than how it ended up.

i cant wait for the reveal inside the box is another box

Another four chapters on the intense realization that the box inside the box has somehow been tampered with, and the horrible consequences of that on Light's entire life.
