OK, I ended my water fast 12 hours before schedule · 8:15pm May 3rd, 2021

No, nothing happened; I didn't crash or anything - I was feeling the same as the day before. But tomorrow is a working day, and I didn't want any nasty surprises when restarting food :trixieshiftleft:

To summarize the results for those that are interested:

  • it lasted for exactly 72 hours, but the cravings stayed constant throughout that period. It seems that continuing it past that point wouldn't be a problem
  • during that time, I drank hot tea (~2 liters per day), water with lemon juice (~2.5 liters per day), and coffee (~0.7 liters per day)
  • side effects included some coldness in the extremities + moderate cravings for food, but it was all on a manageable level
  • power levels were mostly unaffected
  • motivation dropped during the past two days, but it correlated with the crappy, stormy, and windy weather here that put all people living in my house in a similar state. It's hard to say whether fasting did anything here or not
  • there were no special side effects, 'feeling the connection to the universe,' or nirvana, and sadly no hallucinations :ajsleepy:
  • I lost about 1 Kg (been ~117, now ~116), which seems consistent with the prediction (1 Kg fat = 7000 kcal, and body needs ~2000 kcal per day, so 3 days = 6000 kcal = almost 1 Kg)

All in all, it was an interesting experience, but I don't think it's a good idea to do that very often. That said, I think I will try Intermittent fasting sometime soon and see if it will be more sustainable in the long run :unsuresweetie:.

P.S.
Anybody tried bloodletting himself :trollestia:?

Awwwww, no crazy drug trip adventures :raritydespair:

Also, how tall are you?

Hey, you did better than me, I get energy drops after hour 20. Though in my case it's a non-consenting fast sooo... maybe that's a part of it.

My biggest regret, believe me. I'm starting to think I'll never experience anything funny in my life - being a 'good boy' sucks...

... then again, I read that if you keep yourself awake for 72+ hours, you may go into a nice little psychosis. But I put that on the back-burner for now :trollestia: (no, seriously, I was thinking about it in the past and still consider trying it when I go on a longer vacation).

And... I'm 1.80m tall. Why?

I don't know about the highest level, but definitely one of the coolest unicorns :trixieshiftright:

I think I adapted my body through my low-calory diet, and that's why I didn't feel it as much. When I started counting calories a month ago, the first 3-5 days were very crappy with fatigue, headaches, cramps, coldness, and even temporary tinnitus. But then my body adapted and it all went away. The adaptation phase happens every time calory intake is reduced by a large margin, and until the body adapts, it sucks hard - you would have to push through it for a few days to get your energy back.

And... I'm afraid to ask, but... what do you mean by non-consenting fast :unsuresweetie:?

being a 'good boy' sucks...

Then allow me to sell you in the benefits of being bad.

Corruption is my middle name :trollestia:

And... I'm 1.80m tall. Why?

Because I'm 1.88m tall and about 93 kg and am usually considered big. I didn't expect you to be 116 kg haha.

I'm afraid that only works if your middle name is Doctor Rockter :unsuresweetie:

Yeah, tell me about it :twilightsheepish: - I should drop about 40 Kg according to my perfect BMI weight.

I should drop about 40 Kg according to my perfect BMI weight.

Or you could gain 40kgs, but all muscle, and be the next Pudzianowski haha :rainbowdetermined2:

But why would I want to look like Pudzian when I already look like the Might Thor (from the Endgame, but still!) :trollestia:?

... how much is that thing he's holding :twilightoops:?

No clue. All I know is that it didn't match the old record set by Paul Anderson:

I don't think most people would get how insane 300 lbs/137kg x 2 on a one arm standing dumbbell press is. It's like how the difference between $100 billion and $1 million is the same as between $1 million and just $10. I remember thinking I was hot shit when I did around 55kg on this as a teen :rainbowlaugh:
