Getting Serious

Didn't want to make this post yesterday because it ISN'T an April Fools joke! But for those of you who care, here are some updates on what's to come:

I know I've been all of a sudden posting a bunch of one shots and stuff (thank Quills and Sofas for that to be honest) but that doesn't mean I'm not working on something big. In fact, I am.

As you all know, I've been working at posting the thing I started writing last November (Under The Light Of Dusk) for a while. i keep saying I'll have it done by X time, but I never follow through. I apologize and I'd like to be completely transparent what's up with that. Currently, I have sixteen chapters for that. I've gone through a few editing drafts but every time I do one, I realize that there's something that can be improved. I'd rather take my time and make sure I upload something decent that is worthy of a sequel (because there will be at least one or two), even if it takes a bit longer. So for now, that will be on hold as I continue to chip away at it.

Secondly, if any of you follow the AppleDash group, you'll know there was a contest that was announced on there a few weeks ago. I'm working on that as well. It's looking to be at least a few chapters long. Currently it's at four chapters and I still haven't even gotten started on the main plot point. No teaser this time, but I think you guys will find that it's gonna be pretty chill.

Thirdly, if any of you are familiar with Scampy, you'll know about the SunFlower contest that's also going on. I wasn't planning on participating because I myself don't really ship SunFlower (nothing against it, I admire it and whatever), but I had an idea for something to write and I've been working hard on that. Thanks to the amazing Majadin for prereading my first draft and giving me some thoughts, as well as HapHazred for reading every draft since then and helping me continuously improve the story. (by the way, go read Hap's story I helped preread! It's going to be a great read I promise!!! It's called Rogue Sunset. You won't regret it). But about the one I'm writing, I think that once I get this one to the place I want it to be at, you will enjoy it as well. (Warning though, this particular story covers some dark topics and can be triggering. I will have the proper warnings up but just a heads up).

Lastly, personal life is personal life. I'm currently finishing up my third quadmester of school which means work work work and more work. I've been pretty good at balancing this out with writing and art, but that also does cause some delays. I also work at least three times a week which pretty much limits my time to do my own things. I also have some personal projects I'm chipping away at, as well as some other important things (October is going to be quite fun for those of you who like to watch fanfic readings...) and commissions as well (which I am still taking if anyone is interested).

I might continue to post one shots here and there randomly, but just keep in mind I'm also working on some bigger things I am excited to share with y'all.
