It's been a long time since I've told anyone here what's going on in my life. Well... I'm back.
I quit my job and tried to join the Navy. I didn't last long there. I'm back home again. And I'm going to do my best to get Many Futures done. I don't know how I'll do it, but I'm going to try. The first step will be to finish Paradox and Dash's duel against Antinomy. The duel is outlined, I just need to finish the chapter(s). After that... I don't know where I'll go after that, but I'm not giving up. I damn near gave up on things that I believed to be important for a chance at an improved life for myself. That was selfish and wrong, and I'm not proud of myself for that. I feel like I almost gave myself to the darkness. To Nightshroud.
The military isn't for everyone. It certainly wasn't for me. I'm not built for it, mentally and emotionally. I'm too fragile, too sensitive. But these aren't weaknesses, not if I apply them to things that need those traits. Like my writing. Stories like Dueling is Magic! need that. Individuals have problems, have things that they're sensitive about. This story needs me as much as I need it. Yusei, Twilight, Paradox, Aporia, Rainbow Dash, even Nightshroud, they all need me. I didn't create them, but I set them on this journey. It's up to me to help them finish.
I didn't learn as much as I hoped I would in my short time as a Navy recruit, but I learned how to make my bed, how to fold my clothes, and how important honesty REALLY is to me. I learned that I'm a coward at heart, but I still want to stand up for what I believe to be right and good. I still want to help people, and I still have stories to tell. If that's how I help people, then that's what I'll do.
What about Spike and Princess Luna too?(Haven't read much of the 3rd fic after chapter 10 or so.., nervousness made me delay myself again and again)
