Chapter Six Part 3 Up! (March 12th) · 6:02am Mar 12th, 2021
So, our newest part is up! Part 3, or Part 2 of the trial for Chapter Six.

We now know our mastermind. I’ve given most of what I’m able to say about this in the actual author’s notes, but I also wanted to say: when writing this chapter, I ended up with very meaty, long parts. Each of these parts are excessively long, and might’ve been best if they were split up into smaller chunks, especially the two coming up next week after this one. So if the reads feel a bit long, my apologies. 
A lot of you had some really cool ideas for masterminds. Some of you suggested Human Sunset, and a few of you suggested Sunset’s demon form made manifest as a separate individual. Both of those would’ve been quite fascinating, especially the latter. I’m… not sure how that could possibly happen, given that was just Sunset herself corrupted in her own mind by the power she was trying to use, but it would’ve been a really cool idea. Alas, it was not to be. Same with Brony1984's idea which was heckin cool but not something that ever occurred to me.
I also realized and have to apologize for a very slight oversight on my part. A couple of you fixated on a certain phrasing in the Mastermind’s diary entries, specifically where it stated “we need five survivors.” That was supposed to say “I need five survivors” and I didn’t catch that until it was too late. I have made edits to fix that, but it misled a couple of people. My apologies for that. For the record, it occurred because of Sunset’s line of dialogue and my brain transposed pronouns because she was talking. (Or in other words, my brain went mastermind+Sunset = we and typed we as a result. Which is probably why I never caught it on my subsequent edit passes. )
Next week we’re going to have massive parts hit back to back. Monday’s will be about 11K and Wednesday's a full 15K. Friday’s, not so much though.
In other news, I’ve updated Lost Moments with the first part of the second alt scenario I mentioned in my last blog. Entitled “The Right Target'' this will cover an alternate version of Chapter Two’s victim, investigation, and trial. It also has potential to be extended past that point into Chapter Three and beyond, if I feel like it. No promises though. 
Not sure when the next part of it will be up, but I may throw it up at some point.
I’m also working on another story that’s been taking a while(about 10K or more), hence why no short has yet been posted. But one will post soon. It’s a short fluff piece, but hopefully a good one.
As for the Star Trek idea, that one’s in development. It’s going to take a long while before that premieres, as I’m still working out the outline and gist of it. Once I have that all done, I plan to write a substantial chunk before I start posting, in the hopes of establishing a similar rhythm that I did with IHW. It will likely only be, at most, two updates a week, because my work will be getting busier and busier into the summer and I might run into less writing time as a result, and the last thing I’d want to establish an update schedule only to have to delay. Avoiding that was why I forced myself into an update schedule for IHW to begin with, to force me to complete it. But that only worked because I had the free time. So we’ll see what happens.
