Beginning, but also an end · 4:50am Feb 23rd, 2021
It's with a heavy heart that I'm announcing the cancellation of both Peace Behind Me, War in Front of Me and Soldier of Three Armies. Yes I know I've said a lot that I intend to finish them, but between financial problems in my family and my school, I decided to cut my losses.
I was...perhaps too ambitious. Working on too many things at once and giving myself unnecessary stress. Especially when I'm in a university. I had this revelation when I was working on an essay for my history class and I looked up at the tabs I had. There were other essays for history classes, a speech for my Public Speaking class, and I had tabs for both of the next chapters of the 2 stories here plus the 1 RWBY story I'm working on in Fanfiction. By coincidence, I also learned of the news about Pedro Pascal who is going to star as Joel in The Last of Us. Pedro will work on that while also working on The Mandalorian. It's nothing new. Actors do that all the time, but I'm not in a position to do that like in my fics.
Still a college student. I'm working on my Bachelor's, getting my teaching credentials so I can be a teacher somewhere, then I can go wild with my ambitions. Now am I going wild before or after getting a Master's is a question for another time. Maybe I won't need a Master's if things get good for me.
So I decided, I'm going to just concentrate on 1 project and 1 project only. I'm sorry but I had to choose my RWBY fic in Fanfiction. Already came in contact with an artist to make cover art and I need to reach out to a much larger audience who can critique me because lets be honest, I'm a novice. Before reaching my ambitions, I need to get better and better.
Hopefully I can get an editor if someone reaches out. 1st chapter should be done soon anyways.
But I won't leave you guys hanging like a lot of fanfic authors who just disappear without telling their readers. Oh yeah, I'm not leaving the site. I'll still be here chatting and posting blogs. What I will do is I will post 1 last chapter for both fics that will summarize everything afterwards. Soldier of Three Armies will do that and Peace Behind Me, War in Front of Me will get a summary of the Remastered version.
You guys have been great and I love ya'll, but my life comes first. School takes priority and I'm choosing a project with bigger potential in an effort to further my skills. I have an artistic family, don't want to lag behind now.
