This is the first and last blog I will make like this. I don't do so lightly.

My girlfriend, Scampy, has been going through some tough financial circumstances as of late. So tough that me making this blogpost on her behalf is an absolute last resort.
Without getting into the nitty gritty details, she's only allowing me to reach out for her because the alternative is forgoing basic needs (groceries included). This isn't a call for help that she wants to make; it's one that she has to. One she's been putting off for as long as possible. It's never easy to ask for help, especially financial help. Trust me, reaching out wasn't an easy decision.
That being said, if you would like to help Scampy, I am her point of contact, both for the donations and for any questions/concerns you may have. Please do not bombard her with messages. Instead, if you would like to show additional support, you can signal-boost this blog, leave a thoughtful comment here, or leave her a nice (story-based) comment on one of her works. If you like my SunFlower stuff, you should read the stuff that inspired it; it's far better.
Her Paypal is having some issues, so I'm going to be collecting any and all donations on her behalf and sending them directly to her. I also have a Venmo account that will be utilized for this purpose, if anyone wishes to donate. EDIT: I also just set up a Ko-Fi, hopefully correctly.

Oh, hey, I didn't even know the two of you were dating, congrats! Less worthy of congratulations is the job our leadership has done, letting good people go hungry. I just shot you some money to pass along, but I'd be willing contribute more later if Scampy needs it, since the two of you have livened up my days with your stories many times.

I can only give words of comfort, as I'm a little broke child with a big heart and open mind. May the magic of friendship and power of love stay in both yours and Scampy's hearts. There's a phrase that most loathe: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." But, the same holds true with positive matters: "Anything that can go right will go right," even if it takes a while. Everything will be alright. GFG, support Scampy with all thy might, she's gonna need it.

I know that in the case of Ko-Fi they take... 3% (or was it more?), but judging by the above, I'm not sure how they would process a direct donation from abroad. Damn it, nothing like clear information

PayPal takes a .30 + 3% (iirc) fee when you use a CC or debit card. If you have an existing balance (money already in PayPal) they don’t have an extra fee.
When you select send money to a friend, you pay the fee and they receive the amount you typed in. When you select pay for good or service, I think PayPal takes the fee out of what you pay and does a bunch of invoice stuff behind the scenes. Also maybe some tax stuff? Tldr. It’s easier for the receiver if you send as a gift.
