Ahey hey my sexy subjects
First up, I wanted to specify something: the draft of Doctor Whooves I have will not be a full-blown story; it's basically "How The Doctor arrived in Equestria" and will be the prologue to all the Whooves adventures I write.
Also the first adventure I have planned involves the Crystal Empire, and another involves Starswirl. I still have to come up with an even bigger plot (no pun intended ) that reunites all the adventures, but I'll burn that bridge when I get there.
I will explore the other categories eventualy, but for now I'll stick to what I have.
I'll try and write this draft this weekend, maybe even publish it.
That's all for now. Stay sexy
PS: What do you guys think of writers who add links to songs/ pictures in their stories? I don't plan on doing it but I just wanted to know your opinion.
Have fun. Also plan just a little ahead for the tie in so it isn't sloppy. I like the linking personally.(Do you have a prereader? If you need one just ask. If you need one just post it on my profile.)
Prologue first is usually good. *nods*
Also, I'm personally not a big fan of adding pictures and songs in the stories themselves, because I feel like it's kind of unnecessary, but I can see how a lot of others think it adds more personality and depth to their stories. No big deal to me, though
Using songs would be a good idea, but it usually requires a link that navigates to another page, which detracts from the story. My suggestion is to figure out how to embed pop-ups that play the music when links are clicked, and to warn of the pop-up mechanic at the beginning so readers with blockers can turn them off. It should be easy, but I do not know because I have never tried.
Have a nice day.

i do it on occasion when I think a song wil fit the scene or a picture when I need help illustrating something
555225 I agree that it can work, but not only does it make you leave the page but it can be distracting. Pictures on the other hand aren't too bad.
553614 What I usually do is right click the link and make it appear in a new tab so I can stay on the story.
553446 See that's the input I was looking for
552910 My brother usually helps me sort out my stories.
Thanks for the input so far everyBODY (yeah that's right ) I will put pictures if I really feel that it's needed. Songs on the other han, will be added in a note at the end of the chapter so you can go back and read it again with the music (exhibit A: writer making you read his story twice for no good reason ).
(This is subject to change)
I add vidyas and pictures all the time... except, after a while, I stopped using links to other pages, and just used Youtube and Image links so they appeared on the page. Not sure if this annoys others or not, though, I don't do them as much anymore. Although, on my story based on a Stephen King novel/story, I always put a video which was basically a bit of soundtrack from the movie, like music to accommodate the end of the chapter.
I like to see some good old Whoovesian adventures. I shall wait for them.
PS: I'm a Deadpool fan too.

I do the same. I was just pitching an idea your way, but it's fine if you do not try it.
Have a nice day!

P.S.: No, that was not goading or guilt-tripping. I just did not know how else to phrase it efficiently.
556123 I agree on the fact that it's useful but honestly, I'm too lazy to figure it out
556136
Ahkay. Well, I will let you know if I figure it out.

If you know any programming, then you can use this: http://www.htmliseasy.com/popup/index.html
I am working on a solution for if you do not. I do not....

This is the best I could get. http://www.quirksmode.org/js/popup.html
I see that there is no url structure that inherently forms a popup. Well, there goes that idea.
Have a nice day.
