Today, F-16B Block 15AE OCU serial number TS-1601 flies once again after the Falcon STAR program. One of Indonesia’s first F-16s is back in action.
Btw you can see Indonesia’s F-16s on F-16.net to see their history. Some of them operated in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom so essentially, many of Indonesia’s F-16s are actually war veterans. Heartwarming to see some comments where US veterans recognized the F-16s they flew, someone they knew flew, or serviced the specific F-16 still flying under the Indonesian flag.
I hope Indonesia allows some of these war vets to come to our air force bases to reunite with their old fighters.
