Still here, just tired... · 6:24pm Nov 10th, 2020
A quick meme to let you know I'm still alive. Just been working through some stuff. This election had me all twisted up in knots for a while before we finally got the results, so I needed some time off. Combine that with trying to find a job after the one I was going into didn't work out and it's been a bit hard to write. I should be able to get an update out soon.
Until then, let's aim for some laughs, eh?
Well... like I have wrote a lot of times, just take your time, I will recommend you to take a break from the news to, I usually take a week long break of news after something important has happened, but I also take the weekends and holidays off too, but for what I have read you don’t seem to be the kind of guy who listen to the news all the time (and to be fair until the pandemic I also was in that category and even then I just listen form time to time) so that tip might not be useful for you...
But what I’m basically trying to say is don’t let the real life version of the annoying orange, mister senil-dementia and their friends the town’s gossipers affected your life, specially your art, writing, because -and I’m sorry if I sound a little cheese- art in what ever shape it takes, that being a grand dios Magnus opus or simple fanfic, is more meaningful that what ever power some popular guys think he has, specially if that art cheers, entertains and helps the creator and the audience.
To quote the actor Rex Harrison, who interpreted Pope Julius II in the 1965 movie “The Agony and the Ecstasy” (movie that by the way, I really recommend watching because is quite the under appreciated gem and surprisingly entertaining considering is quite an old movie):
“A most perfect of gifts, if I had to chose my life over again, I think I will chose to be an artist”
Any way, go get some mental test m8, we will be here waiting for an update when and only when you decide to drope it
Edit: by the way, if you think is a little ridiculous that I wrote something so “””deep””” in a post that contains a meme about saying fuck, let me tell you that this is basically the tone of “The Agony and the Ecstasy”, some of the conversations between the pope and Michel Angelo vary between very deep (like the line I quote) as well as arguments were both are close to dropping the appearance of an artist and the pope and tell the other to fuck off before solving their differences by hitting the other in the face
But... Where's the "Says fuck among close friends, but doesn't in public" column.
