It's the obligatory new year blog post.

And yes, I am posting this at around midnight on new year. I have a nasty cold, so I decided to disobey nurgle's one command and stay home.

    Just for kicks

I'm mucking around with Lulu for a work-related project (very boring stuff) and thought I would do a quality test with something fun.

    The odd things

I've just been reading through old comments on my scraps story, after publishing yet another chunk from the ancient cutting room floor. It's remarkable how many of the commenters are still around - but also how many logged off for the last time, soon after making their last comment there.

That looks awesome. I remember i was into the heroclix version of battletech for a while, around the time of mechassault. And even though i played the majority of the games and read a few books, each game and book covered such a teeny tiny slice of the canon that ending up on the battletech wiki is a hilariously disorienting experience.

Dude those minis are great! I tried printing a couple, but it definitely looks like those're worth the price. Unfortunately, I've got into 40K heavily so as you can imagine my bank account already hates me quite a bit.

It's such a bloody huge world that you could tell just about any story there, and not have it seem out of place. I'm tempted to dig into it a lot more. Up to now, my entire experience has been the computer games.

They definitely are. I think they're still offering some of the minis on their kickstarter, or maybe they will in the near future. Not that you need tempting... :D the wife has been slowly bankrupting us with her dark angels successor chapter, so I can understand your pain.
