So...yeah.
It's been a little while since I've updated MLP: TPOF. Now granted, I know that not a whole lot of people are reading the story, but I do want to give the ones who are keeping up with it (Thank you all) what's been going on. Outside of personal life and responsibilities, there have been a few projects I've been working on.
1. I've still working as an editor/proofreader for Dusk Shine in pursuit of Happiness, which I still recommend you guys check out. It's a lot more than just a romcom genderbent Twilight story. It's loosely follows the plot of the original show starting from season 1, only that's a bit more PG-13 (innuendos, mild swears, a few darker elements) along with a few more original concepts. The author even goes a step beyond by including a few comic panels on certains scenes from chapters. I've had a blast helping the author with the story and hopefully I can stick around til the story's conclusion.
2. The other thing I've been working on is a brand new story that's not a crossover. It's a oneshot called "Interruptions and Interventions" that's focused around my OC, Astral Ink and his relationship with Princess Luna as her Royal Scribe. Now, I know that OC story's have a bit of a reputation for being "Mary Sue fantasy stories where the main character is perfect and everyone loves them", but I'm trying to make it at least a little more related and down-to-earth than that. I was feeling a little bit of writer's burnout with MLP: TPOF, so I thought that this would be a nice change of pace. The story's almost done and hopefully I'll be able to publish it within the next week. Who knows, maybe if it does well, maybe I'll write a few sequels for it.
Now, does all of this mean that MLP: TPOF is on hiatus? Not exactly. I've gotten about 40% done with the next chapter and I plan on jumping back into working on it. Ideally, I want to get it done by mid-September. We'll have to see. I just wanted to let you guys know what's going on.
