July Update- Writers Block and Current Events

Hi guys,

I know its been a bit of time. I had hoped to update for June but unfortunately, I needed to step back for a moment to reassess. I’m working on multiple stories and constantly switching between them was causing some friction. Specifically, I was just not happy with my writing in some of them which causes me to switch to another story which causes the cycle to continue over and over again.

Its not particularly fun.

I do have a completed story ready to go. It’s a return to some of my older content, but I am wavering on publishing it or doing major changes to it. Not too sure yet? Perhaps I am worrying over nothing.

I am not going to lie, some of my wavering has been related to the current state of the site. I generally do not address any controversy in the community, as my writing is an outlet from politics, but I am concerned by some of the recent discourse going on.

Some of the stuff that has happened recently has been unacceptable. I won’t say much more as I am just a nobody, but I have been incredibly upset at how the community has been tearing itself apart lately.

I am just here to write cuties stories about pastel coloured ponies espousing the magic of friendship and love from a show I liked.

That’s what I will continue to do and I hope that’s enough for you guys too but maybe its not.

Who can say?

Though the change that this site is under going is a bit scary, who knows maybe some good will come out of it, maybe not. I hope that maybe this calamity will lead to a better and more tolerant fandom.
